Here's the Gist:
Reporting to the Emergency Response Manager, the Emergency Response Team Specialist functions as a member of Wolfspeed's Corporate Security and Emergency Management organization. This position acts as an on-site professional emergency responder to hazardous materials, fire, and medical related emergencies and provides on-scene leadership to Wolfspeed's Volunteer Emergency Response Team (ERT). The Day-to-Day:
Opportunity to demonstrate critical decision-making skills and provide for the safety and well-being of our workforce.Opportunity to support industry leading manufacturing through the prevention of and response to emergency situations.Opportunity to be part of a highly competent, tight-knit team that supports professional development and continuing education.Respond to potentially hazardous situations to perform an initial assessment to determine if an emergency condition exists and what, if any, additional resources are required.Provide first-aid and emergency care for ill and injured persons on-site and facilitate transportation off-site as appropriate.Perform clean-up of incidental spills of potentially hazardous materials outside of their primary containment.Perform incipient stage fire extinguishment, when appropriate, using portable fire extinguisher.Act as the on-scene Emergency Coordinator and/or Incident Commander as appropriate for an emergency incident and complete post-incident documentation in a timely manner.Coordinate dispatch, escort of, and liaison with outside emergency response agencies.Conduct initial investigations following an emergency incident and document findings in a timely manner for use by internal organizations performing Root Cause Analysis.Perform inspection and maintenance of ERT and life safety equipment to ensure readiness.Assist with the development and delivery of training to ERT members.Assist with the development and execution of evacuation drills and exercises of the ERT.Maintain proficiency with Wolfspeed's Integrated Contingency Plan, Emergency Action Plan, and other policies and procedures related to the duties of the position.Perform routine inspection of Wolfspeed facilities, including laboratories and manufacturing areas, to prevent the development of an emergency condition.Assist personnel from other departments with activities that help to prevent emergency conditions and improve efficiency of response by internal and external responders.Facilitate a positive working relationship with ERT members and facility personnel to facilitate an efficient response.

This Job is Right for You if You Have (Minimum Requirements):
Must possess a high school diploma.3+ years' experience responding to hazardous materials, fire, and medical emergencies.Meet the minimum Wolfspeed ERT Medical Surveillance requirements prior to date of hire, including the ability to safely lift up to fifty pounds and don self-contained breathing apparatus, air purifying respirators, and chemical protective clothing.Possess or be able to obtain and maintain a driver's license in the State of North Carolina 90 days of date of hire.Possess or be able to obtain and maintain certification as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) in the State of North Carolina within one year of date of hire.Possess or be able to obtain and maintain certification as a Hazardous Materials Technician/Specialist as outlined in OSHA's HAZWOPER regulations (29 CFR 1910.120q) within one year of date of hire.Must be knowledgeable in the application of NIMS and ICS models.

Preferred Skills & Certifications:

PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION

Directly responsible for optimizing the policies, programs, processes, and procedures related to the Emergency Response Core Function of the Management Model. This position has governance, oversight, and accountability for any one of several Emergency Response programs including, Damage Assessment, Incident command, Drills, Staffing, Training, Facilities, Lessons Learned, ERD Peer Groups, Business Continuity Planning (BCP), and any or all related tools and technology functions that support the Emergency Response Organization. This position is responsible for defining, executing, and maintaining these programs and the supporting processes and procedures that describes the execution of the Emergency Response Organization (ERO). The Senior Emergency Preparedness Administrator must drive continuous improvement of the Emergency Response core function and must identify and evaluate performance barriers and capture gaps that adversely impacts ComEd's emergency response efforts. Equally, the Sr. EP Administrator is accountable for developing relationships with industry peers and experts to define best practices & standards and to assertively challenge the status quo. In addition, each Sr. EP Administrator maintains a close working relationship with an assigned storm team and is expected to monitor their team's performance and assist that team's leadership with execution of all storm processes and team membership. The Sr. EP Administrator is accountable for maintaining and monitoring ERO performance through various metrics such as Storm CAIDI, Storm Activation Ratios, ETRs and Cap and O&M measures, and Customer Service Levels. Additional performance indicators are also developed by the Administrator to measure the effectiveness of that individual's specific area of responsibility.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

* Develop and maintain the procedures related to emergency events requiring a coordinated Company response: Storm Restoration Process, Heat Emergency, Site Restoration Management, Security Threats, Distribution Load Management, Substation Logistical Support of Critical Substations, Incident Command
* Participate in completion of ComEd and/or PECO Annual Projects: Emergency Response Drills, Emergency Load Conservation, Summer/Winter Readiness Plans, Emergency Generator and Transformer Deployment Process, Work Stoppage Planning, Black Start Planning
* Participate in and coach personnel during emergency events. Monitor events for process adherence and improvement opportunities.
* Develop and implement training related to emergency response.
* Conduct post-event lessons learned meetings, track completion of resulting action items, and file required regulatory report for the event.
* Coordinate emergency planning with municipal, state, federal agencies, and other industry groups.

JOB SCOPE

* No day-to-day supervisory responsibilities are required for this position. Various special projects led by this position require good project management skills. In addition, this position requires interfacing with various levels of personnel including Regional Operations, Dispatch Operations, Transmission Operations, and corporate organizations (Security, Communications, Regulatory, etc). As a result, effective communication skills are a key ability needed by this individual.
* Direct impact on budget is minimal - occasional expenditures include expenses relating to training, drills and procedure support (room costs, binder materials, etc). However, the processes governed by this position have a very direct impact on the Company's performance on several key indicators such as System Average Interruption Frequency Index (SAIFI), Customer Average Interruption Duration Index (CAIDI), and Customer Satisfaction.
* This position requires minimal direct supervisory oversight. Some independent decision-making is utilized by this position but other more key decisions are left to the Emergency Preparedness Manager with recommendations provided by the Administrator based on experience, good judgment, and initiative.

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

* Bachelor's degree in related field AND 5 or more years of relevant experience OR High school diploma AND 9 or more years of experience in Emergency Preparedness Activities and/or planning, design, operation or maintenance of high voltage electrical equipment on the electrical / gas distribution system.
* Good computer skills, strong oral and written communications skills, along with the ability to deal with people at all levels within the Company, are necessary.

Eliot's Emergency Residence supporting latency age children (infancy to 12 years old) referred by the Department of Children and Families, is seeking a Milieu Specialist II with two years of experience working with the population. Our ideal candidate will have the ability to establish a positive rapport with a culturally and economically diverse group of children and families and to deliver services within the established trauma informed and strengths-based framework.

Eliot's Social Services Division includes short-term community-based assessment, stabilization and support programs (Emergency Residence) for latency age children (birth to 12 years old). The programs are contracted with the Department of Children and Families and provide a safe, structured, and respectful environment for children and youth to thrive, change and grow by focusing on treatment, skill-building, and permanency. .

Responsibilities:

+ Daily coordination of youth and staff in executing the plan of the day in accordance with program, DCF, DYS, DMH, DEEC and ECHS policies and procedures.

+ Serve as the lead staff for all assigned shifts, ensuring all policies are followed and systems are completed.

+ Provide monthly documented supervision for assigned staff. Participate in yearly performance evaluations for assigned staff.

+ Participate in the development and implementation of Individual Action and Crisis Prevention Plans.

+ Attend supervision, staff and shift change meetings and training as required.
