Bello Machre employment program manager job description

At Bello Machre, the Employment Services Program Manager provides support to a caseload and operational oversight to the employment branch of our Meaningful Day Services. The Program Manager is responsible for the growth and development of our Employment Services, which includes networking in the community, building relationships with employers and community partners (such as DORS) and individualized job development and customization.

Additionally, this position will take the initiative to market services to identified referral sources with the intent of securing new supporters, increasing business contacts, employing individuals, and informing the community of the program. This position requires an experienced, independent professional, and developed leader who works well within a team environment. A history of successful supervisory experience and strong leadership skills are required.
Qualifications

A Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university is preferred
Must be at least 21 years old
At least two years of experience working in the human services field with experience providing direct care services
At least two years of supervisory experience
Must have a current driver's license with no more than 5 points
Must display a genuine interest in the well-being of adults with developmental disabilities
Must be able to communicate effectively with supervisor, peers, individuals, and families
Must be able to teach skills, provide support, and build on each individual's strengths and capabilities

Responsibilities

Works with employers/businesses to remove employment barriers and resolve issues related to community integration and independence for people with disabilities
Assists with career counseling, evaluation, skills training/assessment, job readiness training, and other activities related to employment transition and successful job placement
Monitors each person's level of performance including determining when supports should be modified
Develops and maintains community business relationships for finding people gainful employment and advancement that provides a meaningful experience
Serves as a liaison between each person and their employer and facilitate appropriate worker to supervisor relationships

  • Recruit, hire, supervise, train, evaluate, reward, discipline, and terminate department staff in accordance with organizational policy and applicable laws and regulations

  • Participate in contract related planning, monitoring, and evaluation meetings at state, county and local level
  • Develop and maintain certifications for new and current DOR services
  • Demonstrated ability to provide supervision and leadership to diverse staff who possess a wide range of skills, abilities, and professional competencies
  • Must have good basic English writing skills, good basic computer skills and be highly organized
