EPS Security company history timeline

1955

EPS Security was founded in 1955, which means we’ve kept pace with every major advancement in card access security since the theory was put into practice.

It wasn’t until 1955 that compact, functional heat detectors began use in homes.

1969

The Bank of Sweden Prize in Economic Sciences in Memory of Alfred Nobel was first awarded in 1969; one of the first recipients, Jan Tinbergen, was a founding trustee.

1989

EPS was founded in 1989 as Economists Against the Arms Race (ECAAR). The founder, Doctor Robert J. Schwartz, was inspired at a Moscow conference held by the International Physicians for the Prevention of Nuclear War.

1993

In 1993, following the end of the US-Soviet arms race, ECAAR became Economists Allied for Arms Reduction.

1995

ECAAR received its NGO certification to two UN bodies, the Economic and Social Council and the Department of Public Information, in 1995.

1999

First appearing in 1999, the chief detriment of these “all-in-one” readers is that they are completely internet reliant and thus subject to internet-related issues such as network failures and heavy traffic.
