We are currently seeking a Facility Project Engineer to support the engineering design and construction of new manufacturing facilities. This position requires an experienced professional with a track record of managing complex large-scale automotive projects. This position requires partnership with internal departments that include building Facilities, General Assembly, Body in White, Stamping, Powertrain and Logistics. RolePossess strong interpersonal skills and proven ability to establish effective cross-functional working relationships.Responsible for managing multiple capital projects of varying size and complexity that include the management of project budget, project schedule, engineering design, architectural contractor management, third party inspections, building permitting and project close-out documentation.Work directly with capital equipment suppliers to ensure compatibility with building facility infrastructure.Possess high level understanding in the areas of manufacturing design and equipment installations Understands, tracks and articulates issues / risks / action items; work with responsible owners to address the items on a timely basis; update the appropriate stakeholders as needed Perform safety analysis with capital equipment suppliers and work with Lucid safety team to ensure safe design and operation of equipment upon equipment commissioning. Work with governing bodies to determine permitting requirement for hazardous materials, battery cells, structural, site development and MEPManagement of architects designing building infrastructure systems that include building MEP distribution, building structural elements, fire protection/annunciation systems and IT/data systems.Interacts with internal manufacturing and facilities personnel, construction contractors, internal procurement personnel, City building inspectors, contract architects and engineers.Follow all government guidelines for projects and adhere to all applicable OSHA and environmental guidelines.
You Bring:5+ years of Design Management or Facilities Engineering in an industrial manufacturing environment Ability to independently manage the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serve as liaison between project management and manufacturing engineering project team Ability to drive big picture goals while valuing and maintaining a strong attention to detail Ability to quickly identify and drive to the optimal solution when presented with a series of constraints Ability to quickly identify facility design issues and to quickly evaluate escalation to management where appropriate Excellent judgment, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills Self-motivated individual that possesses excellent time management and organizational skills Strong sense of personal responsibility and accountability for delivering high quality work.Ability to read construction drawings, single line electrical drawings and P&ID drawings Bi-lingual in French or Arabic strong plus BS minimum in engineering Experience in the automotive industry strong plus Must be detail oriented and well organized Ability to influence outcomes and drive initiatives in complex environments.Possesses strong presentation skills and communicates clearly and professionally at various levels both inside and outside the company Working knowledge of and AutoCAD, BIM 360, Primavera P6 preferred Possess knowledge and experience across multiple functions within facility construction and automotive manufacturing processes Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time Flexibility to support any shift including day, night and swing shifts, as needed. Weekend and holiday work may be required.

* Performs administrative and secretarial duties that also includes exercising discretion and judgement, including identifying and resolving problems that would not require Executive Director's direct involvement.

* Manages access to the Executive Director by screening calls and visitors to determine appropriate course of action. Uses judgement and independence to make changes to schedules and matters of the Executive Director. Prevents scheduling conflicts or anticipates and resolves conflicts competing with Executive Director's schedule/priorities.

* Organizes conference and annual meetings for Executive Director. Makes travel arrangements as needed.

* Organizes and assimilates documents, including creating agendas for meetings and may attend meetings to prepare minutes of meetings.
* Prepares correspondence.
* Responsible for office upkeep including organizing clean outs (internal and external), car service and conference room delegator.
* Tracks, assigns and manages all department invoices.
* Responsible for all standard equipment for construction projects, this includes decision on best use, amounts to be ordered as well as stock for urgent cases.
* Use Procore to compile charts and graphs for project reporting.
* Administer Procore system setup for new projects and configuration including create custom forms for new projects and maintain current projects. Works with the Project Coordinator who is responsbile for the Procore platform.
* Manage relevant construction documentation through Procore.
* Perform administrative and analytical functions related to assigned construction technology tools, such as Procore, Strata Jazz, Bluebeam, and other systems as assigned.
* Miscellaneous project support (mailing, scanning, tracking, etc.).

Facilities Project Support serves as the primary assistant to the Executive Director of Facilities Planning and Construction. The work ranges from office support to administrative duties involving decision making and judgement. Position is first contact to both internal and external contacts and requires excellent customer service skills. Confidentiality is required. This position also supports Project Managers, Design Manager, Real Estate Manager and Facilities Manager. These responsibilities include, but are not limited to, equipment coordination, creating and monitoring reports, putting together schedules, responsible for all department invoices, as well as responsible for preparing contracts. This position is responsible for assisting with the management of the construction management software for the department.

Job Description
The Large Power Systems Division, LPSD, has an opening for a Facilities Project Engineer position within the Drivetrain Operations Facilities Engineering team located in East Peoria, Illinois. This is a staff position that specializes in Capital expenditure coordination, sustainability tracking and improvements as well as projects where specific expertise is needed. Coordination with multiple groups to support Drivetrain operations in achieving CapEx goals, sustainability goals, customer shipping performance and quality targets while achieving zero injuries is paramount.

Job Duties
Responsible for the implementation of facilities processes, maintenance and/or construction CapEx Coordinator for the facility Responsible for the administration and oversight of assets owned by the facility from purchase to retirement Keep various levels of facility management informed of capital forecast, expenditure targets, progress toward targets, and proper spend tracking Expert advisor for local project managers on capital questions Interface between local project managers and corporate capital teams Creation and routing of Requests for InvestmentsCreation and disbursement of Capital Work OrdersEnsures timely asset Place in ServiceSustainability Coordinator for the facility Capture, track, and report on all manner of utility use and waste generation Develop and implement sustainability strategies to reduce environmental impact Work with various levels of facility personnel to implement positive sustainability change Lead projects for facility improvements and/or process changes Perform liaison duties with customer groups, facility occupants, various functional areas, maintenance, construction personnel, consultants, and governmental entities/regulatory agencies to promote smooth transitions of new and revised facilities operations and process equipment Manage and maintain the facility AutoCAD layout and associated processes Aid maintenance team members when an engineered solution is required to improve a system/process or overcome a system/process failure Ability to read, interpret, and review Machinery & Equipment prints as well as Architectural & Engineering prints The employee in this position deals with one-off emergency situations that arise due to an accident or failed infrastructure. Must be able to make well-informed and considered decisions in times of extreme pressure.

Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or an Associate degree in a technical field with 7+ years of progressively responsible job-related engineering or maintenance experience Demonstrated ability to analyze financial data Excellent oral and written communications skills Strong analytical and problem-solving skills including root cause analysis

Top candidates will also have
Good understanding of machining, assembly, and heat treating operations Intermediate experience with Autodesk's AutoCADKnowledge of architectural designs, building codes, and OSHA regulations Experience planning and executing work in a 24/7 manufacturing environment
