Who We Are: Hord Farms is a diversified farming operation in North-Central Ohio currently farming 8,685 acres of corn, beans, wheat, and barley, in addition to raising pigs and cattle. Our Hord Elevator division is seeking to add a full-time feed mill operator to our afternoon-shift team. A Day In the Life: Operate corn roller mills, ensuring the proper setting and testing for accuracy Oversee the computer operation of the feed mill on the afternoon shift, following all procedures to properly sequence orders to be mixed Keep ingredients available for feed production, including restocking of bagged and toted products Unload bulk ingredients through our elevator dump system Load tractor/trailers for delivery Assist with preventative maintenance on all equipment per provided schedules Assist in housekeeping duties to ensure the mill remains clean What You Need: Ambition and the drive for excellence Valid driver's license and clean driving record Experience driving pickup trucks, forklifts, tractors, and other basic machinery Experience with equipment repair and maintenance Basic knowledge of Excel and e-mail Self-motivation and ability to remain productive when unsupervised Ability to repeatedly lift up to 55 lbs. and climb in excess of 150 ft. and work in all types of weather No daily exposure to non-Hord pigs Your Rewards: Competitive wages Medical, Dental, Vision, and Life Insurance (at less than $35/pay for our base plan). 401(k) with company match Opportunities for continued personal and professional growth We look forward to talking to you soon about the opportunity to join our team!

Maintenance * Maintains inventory at desired levels. * Performs housekeeping duties and maintains a clean work environment. * Assist in the maintenance of equipment. * Ensures that work area, equipment, and vehicles are all neat, clean, and well maintained. Documentation & Standards * Fulfills all reporting and record-keeping requirements. * Follows standards of quality as outlined by QMS and other manufacturing and regulatory controls. Other * Use all tools, equipment, and vehicles carefully and for their intended use. * Works extended hours as requested by supervisor to ensure good customer service in busy season. Qualifications & Requirements: * Must be licensed and insurable to drive. * High school diploma or GED with 1-3 months of related experience. * Must be able to operate a forklift safely and effectively. * Understand the importance of providing extremely high levels of customer service. * Possesses basic mathematical and mechanical skills, problem solving capabilities, and understands the operational processes. * Prior experience and knowledge of Microsoft, Excel, and Office 365 is preferred. * Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. * Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. * Understand the seasonality of the farm supply business and the in-season time commitment. * Must be able to interact and effectively communicate with customers and individuals at all levels of the organization.
