**Purpose**

The purpose of the Water/Wastewater Skill Bridge Fellowship is to assist in drafting, design reviews, and preparation of project documents related to water, wastewater, and water resources infrastructure projects. Fellows will gain hands-on experience supporting project teams in the planning, design, and delivery of systems that improve community water management and sustainability.

The Gamage Democracy Fellowship is a prestigious one-year, full-time, benefitted position at The Colonial Williamsburg (CW) Foundation, designed to honor Stewart Gamage's legacy and advance her vision of promoting democracy and civic engagement. The Fellow will develop international education programs in collaboration with The Colonial Williamsburg Foundation, the Presidential Precinct, and William & Mary. They will contribute to the realization of the "Destination Democracy" concept, promoting CW as an international hub for education and for the advocacy of democracy.
* CW will cover all housing expenses for the selected incumbent, including rent and utilities.
Essential Functions:
1. Develop and implement not for credit international democracy and civic engagement education programs for learned professionals who are in the space of law, technology, public policy in their respective countries by doing the following:
a. Researching best practices in democracy education and collaborating with experts from W&M and the Presidential Precinct to develop curriculum content.
b. Designing, implementing, and coordinating logistics for in person or virtual workshops, seminars, or lecture series that bring together young professionals and experts to discuss democratic principles and practices. The Fellow is expected to facilitate discussions and exercises during the same.
c. Collaborating with internal stakeholders to create educational materials and resources that showcase CW as a hub for democracy education.
d. Evaluating the program's effectiveness and making improvements for future iterations.
2. Engage in direct civic activism and create positive change through innovative initiatives including organizing events or conferences that attract international professionals to CW, fostering dialogue on contemporary democratic challenges and solutions.
3. Establish partnerships with international organizations and institutions to expand the reach and impact of CW's democracy-focused initiatives.

b. Helping to identify potential funding sources or grants for program expansion.
c. Ensuring that proposed programs and activities align with available resources.

Chief Objective of Position
Christopher Newport University invites applications for multiple openings of Residential Fellow within the Office of Residence Life and Housing Administration.
The Residential Fellow will support the Office of Residence Life and Housing Administration in its mission to provide on-campus housing that enhances the educational experience for every residential student at Christopher Newport University. Reporting to an Assistant Director for Residence Life, the Residential Fellow will provide ongoing support for all residential students, student staff, and professional staff. This position requires an on-call duty rotation including after hours, weekends, and university holidays/academic breaks. While serving on call, the Residential Fellow will need to remain within a 15-minute response time from campus with reliable transportation. Additional support may be needed during university holidays/academic breaks in case of emergency. This is a required live-in, 12-month position (June 1, 2026 to May 31, 2027). Upon mutual agreement, Residence Life may extend a contract for one additional year (until May 31, 2028).

Work Tasks
Staff Supervision and Development
* Serve as the primary supervisor of their assigned community's student staff: Resident Assistants (RAs), Front Desk Assistants (FDAs), and a Senior Resident Assistant (SRA).
* Assist in the planning and implementation of August and January Resident Assistant and Front Desk Assistant Training along with informal training throughout the year.
* Conduct weekly staff meetings for Resident Assistants and individual meetings on a regular basis.
* Conduct monthly staff meetings for Front Desk Assistants.
Residential Experience and Engagement
* Serve as the primary point of contact for day-to-day operational needs of a designated residential community.
* Plan and execute the Residential Community Connection Plan (residential curriculum) to foster an engaging and educational living and learning environment for staff and students.
* Support student staff members in the planning of programs and events for residential students.
* Advise a Hall Council in the areas of community development and advocacy.
Conduct, Care, and Crisis Response
* Address and mediate conflict involving roommates/suitemates, staff, and residential communities.
* Provide campus resources to students and make referrals to campus resources as appropriate.
* Conduct student care, support, and follow-up in a timely manner.
* Serve on an on-call rotation, providing support to residents and student staff members. On-call includes after hours, weekends, and university holidays/academic breaks.
* Serve as a hearing officer in collaboration with the Center for Honor Enrichment and Community Standards (CHECS), adjudicating cases involving lower-level violations.
Partnerships and Collaboration
* Assist and provide support for University-wide programs to include Setting Sail (First-Year Orientation), Changing Tides (Transfer Student Orientation), Move-In, Welcome Week, Freshman Dessert Receptions, Pancake Breakfast, May Commencement Activities, admissions events, and other university events as requested.
* Promote the mission of Christopher Newport University and adhere to all departmental policies and procedures, and support additional University programs that enhance the overall experience for students, as approved by their supervisor. This may include, but is not limited to Signing Day, Senior Week, Commencement activities, and Admission events.
Operations and Administration
* Report facilities-related concerns to Housing Operations and Facilities and assist with student support-and follow-up.
* Support departmental operations, including key management, occupancy management, resident check-in/out, and damage billing.
* Assist Residence Life and Housing Administration summer operations, including supervision of summer student staff members, provide support for the closing of upper-level occupancy spaces, and prepare for the fall move-in process.

Chief Objective of Position
The University Fellow will support Christopher Newport University (CNU) by welcoming, orienting, transitioning and engaging new students to CNU. The Fellow will be responsible for conducting extensive recruitment travel, interviewing prospective students, giving presentations to campus visitors and otherwise telling his/her CNU story through various mediums with the goal of recruiting the best prospective students. This position will also assist with various Admission Officer duties, including but not limited to reading application files for decision, counseling families through the college search process, assisting with processing and operations and participating in recruitment events on and off campus. * Interview prospective students and provide insightful information to help them validate interest in CNU in addition to rating the student for consideration as an evaluative measure during a holistic admission and merit scholarship application review.

In this role you will:
Perform theoretical calculations and methodological developments related to hadron structure (PDFs, TMDs, GPDs, etc.).
Design, run, and interpret large-scale computational analyses using experimental data from JLab and other facilities
Collaborate with senior scientists, postdocs, and students to advance project objectives
Prepare and maintain reproducible analysis workflows, documentation, and software tools
Present research results at group meetings, workshops, and scientific conferences
Publish peer-reviewed papers reporting new theoretical, computational, or phenomenological findings
Contribute to related Laboratory Directed Research & Development (LDRD) and collaboration activities, including cross-team coordination

What your job will be like:
The Physics Division (Hall D) at Jefferson Lab invites applicants to fill a Postdoctoral Research Fellow position. The selected Postdoctoral Fellow will study novel AI/ML techniques to solve problems in hadron spectroscopy. Also contribute to the development and documentation of new amplitude analysis tools, which are used by the GlueX collaboration to extract publishable results from experimental data.
In this role you will:
Contribute to the physics output of the Hall D experiments and the GlueX collaboration in particular. Carry out the analysis of the data aiming at delivering publishable results.
Explore and develop scientific directions and methods within the research project "Advanced methods for hybrid meson search". In particular, use artificial intelligence and machine learning techniques for amplitude analysis to tackle challenges in model selection and fit stability.
Contribute to the development and documentation of new amplitude analysis tools, which can be used by the GlueX collaboration. Evaluate their performance on heterogeneous hardware (CPU, GPU).

In this role, you will be part of a large team of experienced scientists focusing on precision experimental physics measurements in halls A and C. The incumbent will conduct research and ensure that all experiments are appropriately conducted following the policies and procedures of TJNAF. The successful candidates will work on simulation studies and photon detector development for Compton polarimetry, and the parity-violating electron scattering (PVES) experiments in halls A and C.

Collaborate with the staff and users to commission, collect data, and perform analysis for the MOLLER experiment.
