Diageo North America seeks a Political Action Committee and Third-Party Strategy Manager to handle all aspects of planning, operation and compliance of the Diageo Employee Political Action Committee (Diageo PAC) and development of a third-party advocacy strategy to support Diageo in achieving its public policy objectives in conjunction with the Corporate Relations team. The successful candidate must be motivated by fundraising and be capable of building a strategy to work with companies across the total alcohol beverage industry, have strong project management skills and be able to effectively communicate in writing and public speaking.
**PAC Responsibilities:**

Day-to-day management and administration of the company's PAC including the development and execution of an overarching plan to increase membership/receipts, ongoing member communication, governance committee coordination, budget management, event development, and compliance.

Building awareness and understanding of the PAC with eligible employees to foster a culture of political engagement.

Handling, cultivating, and maintaining relationships with PAC members.

Development of creative content for all PAC communications, including educational and solicitation materials, annual and semi-annual reports, newsletters, and the PAC website, that articulates key messages, purpose, vision, and goals.

Management of the federal and state PAC budgets, processing PAC disbursements including in-kind contributions and compliance.

**Third Party Strategy Responsibilities:**

Identify the most important third-party groups that are influential on key policy issues for Diageo, including methods of delivering product to consumers, tax support, innovation, manufacturing, dietary guidelines with the objective of building collaborative advocacy efforts.

Work with Corporate Communications colleagues to build advocacy coordination with DEI, climate and responsible drinking organizations.

Build plan for team to develop relationships with third party organizations where success is defined by ensuring each partner understands and supports Diageo's business model and how we only succeed if our partners succeed.

Think of creative ways to continuously engage third-party groups in order to build strong allies.

**Required Experience:**

+ Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience, preferably in public policy, communications or business.

+ 4+ years of experience with a blend of communication, event planning, political action committee, political fundraising, or campaign management experience.

+ Great teammate who is a self-starter, passionate about their work and innovative in solving problems, overcoming challenges, and achieving goals.

+ Ability to work independently and demonstrate good judgment, with outstanding attention to detail and timing.

+ Understanding of political and legislative processes.

+ Excellent interpersonal skills coupled with a confidence and comfort interacting directly with corporate executives.

+ Strong verbal and written communication skills, coupled with exceptional research, data collection, and analytical skills.

+ Experience managing multiple demands and constituents and staying organized in a sophisticated business environment.

**Preferred Experience:**

+ Strong bi-partisan relationships with DC based PAC fundraisers

+ Understanding of the Federal Election Commission regulations, political campaigns, and rules governing the process
