Pay Rate: $24/hour The primary focus of the Warehouse II role is movement of product within the warehouse. In addition, this role will serve as back-up delivery driver for non-CDL trucks. This is a general labor position that will prioritize and pick product to fill orders, and physically move and lift product weighing as much as 150 pounds. Key Responsibilities * Assist in administrative tasks, such as the handling and preparation of paperwork. May assist in the daily closing of the warehouse. * Assist in verifying all incoming and outgoing products for accuracy in terms of amount, size and type, informing management of inventory and supply shortages as well as assisting in actual periodic inventory counts * Compile and submit regular reports of damaged, outdated stock or supplies, over and under shipments, return of products to vendor, etc. and segregate defective product from normal flow of inventory Prioritize and pick material to fill orders and stage product for loading * Designate and organize the warehouse stock by product line and by physical alignment, allowing sufficient space for overflow * Load and unload delivery trucks - Lifting products weighing up to approximately 50 pounds. Handling of tires (e.g., rolling, destacking, team lifting) greater than approximately 50 pounds. * Operate powered industrial vehicles (forklifts, pallet jacks, order pickers, etc.) in a safe manner and maintain an operator license, if required. * Perform periodic facilities maintenance and/or custodial / housekeeping tasks, such as cleaning parking lot, loading dock and area surrounding building; keeping floors clear of debris, maintaining bathrooms and assisting in daily closing down of warehouse * Prioritize and pick materials for order fulfillment, staging them for loading. Primary Responsibilities The Cut and Wrap associate cuts, packages and repackage products to customer specifications. This includes cutting and dispensing product and repackaging and labeling goods to be sent out to the customers. Soft and hard cheeses, olives and nuts are taken from the vendors' containers and re-sized or packaged to meet customer specifications. This may also include re-packaging of butter or dairy goods into smaller containers or units. The employee uses hand-held cutting tools and knives, hydraulic cutting machine and scales to customize products. The products are then re-packaged, weighed, x-rayed, labeled and boxed in preparation for shipment to the customers. If desired by the customer, the products are pre-priced as well. In between product changes, the employee sanitizes the work area and follows food safety rules when working with products. The second shift of this job class also performs daily cleaning of the Cut and Wrap room in accordance with cleaning protocol. Duties and Responsibilities • Locates, identifies, transports and stores warehoused materials in storage locations • Stock and picking parts Education and Experience • High School Diploma/Equivalent Required. • Candidates should be familiar with the inside of a warehouse and stocking/picking. • Need attention to detail and the ability to work accurately in a fast paced environment. • Need to be able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand/walk for an 8+ hour work day. • Forklift experience preferred. Term of Assignment • 2nd shift position. Hours are: 11:00am-7:30pm, voluntary and mandatory OT may be required. • Monday through Friday • Full-time contract position • Business casual dress code • Steel Toed Work Shoes with Metatarsals required for first day. • This assignment will tentatively be starting on April 2017 through October 2017 with the possibility of long term extensions, based in the performance of the candidate and the customer's needs.
