What will the Finance Manager do?

The Finance team at Leaf Logistics is responsible for all of the finance operations at the company including accounting, cash management, financial reporting, budgeting, and financial projections. We consider ourselves the “score-keepers” of how the business is performing, and we need the Finance Manager to help build a pipeline of feedback that goes back into the business. They will report on risks and opportunities for the company to achieve its goals quicker and at scale. They'll be responsible for building effective and measurable processes throughout the finance organization and partner with other teams to improve our business performance.

Key Responsibilities:
● Build and manage the operating plan and forecasting process across the Company
● Drive implementation of new reporting / analytical tools and process automation
● Build revenue, cost, and margin analyses to different stakeholders across the company (i.e. by-customer)
● Measure financial impact of operational initiatives to improve revenue and/or margin across different teams
● Identify potential constraints or delays that might impact execution against Leaf's overall vision and mission, and quarterly OKRs, proactively managing issues as needed
● Provide independent, informed, unbiased insight, including on the ground feedback
● Monitor and communicate progress on key company KPIs, ensuring alignment with Leaf's overall vision, mission and strategy
● Organize the development of monthly board meeting materials, investor updates, internal team updates and other Executive Team presentations
● Enhance transparency across teams, and ensure alignment to shared performance goals and targets

Requirements:
● Bachelor's Degree
● 4+ years working in a financial analysis or operations role (or equivalent experience)
● Experience building analyses, executing plans, and bringing projects to fruition
● Familiarity with the complexities and pace of a startup environment
● Excellent verbal, written and presentation communication skills
● Skilled at people management, and able to work in a flexible manner in line with company objectives, and to take on other duties as needed

Reporting directly into the Director of Private Equity Accounting, the main duties and responsibilities of the Assistant Manager of Private Equity Accounting will be to grow, develop and manage a team, responsible for the following:

+ Calculate capital calls and distributions

+ Allocate income to partners in accordance with terms of partnership agreements

+ Prepare and issue quarterly financial statements, in accordance with US GAAP for each entity

+ Maintain and update investment data (number of shares, location of securities, country of origin)

+ Maintain all financial data in the investment database

+ Post all journal entries and prepare monthly trial balance reports

+ Reconcile all cash received from investors and investments

+ Reconcile bank accounts

+ Interact with clients and provide information as needed.

This role is a senior level management position within a well-established and highly reputable market leader. The role has the backing of the board to take the Boston team to the next level. In return for a competitive compensation package, the successful candidate will possess the following:

+ Bachelor Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or related field

+ 4+ years in Private Equity accounting and financial reporting, or Public Accounting

The Private Equity Accounting group within my client is over 600 people strong. They are the number 1 private equity third party administrator globally. This particular Financial Reporting division covers the asset class of Private Equity and they are based in Downtown Boston. The role will manage a small team, but will be charged with the mandate of growing out the team in the years to come. **The role can be 100% remote.**

Brightside Financial Assistants (FAs) are at the core of our proposition and we are seeking a product manager to play a pivotal role in developing a first-class platform that empowers our FAs with everything they require to serve our clients.

The meaningful work you will tackle:

* Working closely with the product director to develop the product strategy and roadmap
* Deeply understand the FA role and develop workflows that help FAs to triage financial needs
* Ownership of initiatives from ideation through delivery
* Working with adjacent product teams to deliver end-to-end product experiences across internal tools and client-facing tools
* Answering ambiguous questions: such as How can we drive FA efficiency and productivity? How can the platform drive more client engagements and better client interactions?

What we're looking for in your background & what makes you a success:

* 4+ years of proven product management experience, ideally having worked closely with CRM products
* 4+ years of Salesforce experience
* BS degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or Business Administration
* Analytical ability to break down complex problems and efficiently use data and analytics layered against high-quality user research to inform the direction of the product
* Ability to establish and maintain a high level of credibility with internal and external partners
* Ability to creatively craft solutions through data and a user-centric approach
* Ability to build wireframes and mockups, with an aptitude for keeping things simple
* Be meticulous and have a high bar for quality when writing user stories, reviewing designs, brainstorming technical approaches, and testing a feature before it is released
* Be humble, willing to learn, and do whatever is needed to help us accomplish our goals
* Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
* Experience using agile development methodologies with globally distributed teams and the ability to keep up with a fast-paced and global company
