Provides direct supervision and monitoring of Eversource Energy's Damage Prevention Program for Gas Operations. Involves integrated planning, scheduling and execution of facility locating activities, performance measurement and benchmarking, coaching/training, safety adherence, implementing best practices, establishing metrics and driving performance improvements. Extensive communication with customers, community officials, excavators, and Eversource Energy personnel regarding all aspects of damage prevention.
Essential Functions:
Oversees all aspects of the damage prevention and compliance program for Eversource Gas Operations including the supervision of personnel performing facility locating activities.Monitors, analyzes and reports on compliance performance with Federal and State excavation laws/regulations for both internal and external parties.Assists with investigations and data collection used for regulatory reporting of damage and compliance performance metrics.Maintains and monitor databases related to damages and billing to recover damage costs.Develops relationships with internal and external stakeholders in order to obtain and share information that will benefit Eversource Energy.Supervises implementation of best practices for public awareness, field execution, employee training, work processes and documentation.Understands and complies with labor contracts, works to resolve initial grievances and initiates appropriate disciplinary action when required.Ensures all work is conducted in a manner consistent with the Eversource Energy's safety and quality standards as well as Federal and State regulatory requirements.

About the role:
The Injury Prevention Specialist Supervisor will be responsible for the daily development and implementation of Premise Health Occupational Injury Prevention and Early Intervention Programs and assist the Musculoskeletal Manager/Health Center Manager as needed.
Essential Functions :
- Manages staff typically composed of Injury Prevention Specialists and PRNs, and executes the following, but not limited to supervisory responsibilities :

- Responsible for following appropriate processes for staff management including staff development and performance management
- Responsible for interviewing, training and ensuring the successful orientation and onboarding of new team members
- Assist Premise team and Site Leadership in implementation of strategic program and marketing plans
- Assist the Musculoskeletal Manager/Health Center Manager with monthly reporting statistics, preventative maintenance processes, injury prevention programming, and ongoing marketing of programs.
- Ensure compliance to equipment preventative maintenance schedule and immediately report any facility or equipment issues
- Partner with related departments to provide optimal performance of the Health & Wellness Center to meet the needs and satisfaction of client
- Address client member issues and ensure effective and long-term problem resolution
- Ensures continuous upkeep of in-house facility duties
- Execute the non-supervisory responsibilities of an Injury Prevention Specialist, but not limited to the following:
- Perform Physical Demand Analyses including raw data collection, use of measurement tools, video analysis for specific job demands, and overall report review to identify high-risk work areas.
- Communicate regularly with onsite PH Medical Team and Client Safety Team regarding workplace countermeasures and injury prevention strategies.
- Attend meetings and serve on task forces as deemed necessary.
- Provide recommended guidelines for correcting limitations in flexibility, strength and general conditioning to prevent injury and support overall wellness for client members.
- Provide client follow-up and make recommendations for work performance based on knowledge in anatomy, physiology, biomechanics, and ergonomic principles.
- Develop and lead group and individual training sessions focusing on functional movement patterns, specific job simulations, and educational programs for occupational health/ safety. (Stretching programs, Lift Labs, etc)
- Educate and observe essential functions and movement patterns related to appropriate early symptom management techniques for minor musculoskeletal discomfort. Follow-up with client members to ensure early symptom recognition and injury prevention.
- Perform injury/musculoskeletal screening and assessment, covering such areas as (but not limited to) history, observation, palpation, range of motion, and muscle strength to assist in determination of red flags and next steps regarding care
- Provide basic first aid in alignment with OSHA first aid standards to assist in prevention of recordable incidences for clients
- Care coordination and communication with on-site medical providers.
- Perform administrative requirements such as completing necessary forms, reports, and appropriate EMR documentation, etc. in a timely manner.
- May require other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
Education:
- Bachelor's Degree in Health Sciences (Kinesiology, Human Kinetics, Exercise Science, Athletic Training, Exercise Physiology) from accredited college or university or equivalent experience preferred.
- Current hands-on training in AHA or ARC Basic Life Support for health care providers is required.
- Current hands-on training in AHA or ARC First Aid is required.
Experience:
- Minimum of 3+ years of experience in athletics or occupational health setting (Occ Health Preferred)
- No supervisory experience required but is preferred.
- Experience in Health/ Fitness Industry; Experience in Occupational Health and Safety; Knowledge of current OSHA regulations preferred
- Experience in Ergonomics
