Fisher-Barton Inc. company history timeline

1906

In 1906, Fisher Barton’s Technology Center building was originally home to Washington Cutlery and soon made a name for itself with the highly regarded ‘Village Blacksmith’ line of butcher knives, cleavers, chisels and screwdrivers.

1960

McGraw-Edison discontinued their blade division and the heat treater that had been moved from Watertown to Jefferson City in the 1960's was purchased by Fisher Barton and moved back to Watertown.

1973

Founded in 1973 in Watertown, Wisconsin, Fisher Barton began manufacturing lawn mower blades to fulfill the needs of a unique, niche market.

2003

100 Millionth lawn mower blade shipped in 2003.

2012

200 Millionth lawn mower blade shipped in 2012.

2018

300 Millionth lawn mower blade shipped in 2018.
