About the Role: The Truck Driver is a CDL Class A driving position that is responsible for driving materials and equipment to project locations which are subject to cross state lines and may require overnight stays. We are seeking and a reliable and dependable CDL Driver - Heavy Equipment Hauler to join our team. The CDL Driver is responsible for the transportation of heavy equipment & material to and from job sites. This role is responsible for operating in a manner that will optimize the company's efficiency and help achieve daily and weekly goals including driving to and from designated locations, verifying loads, maintain record of duty status according to state and federal regulations, and performing pre-trip and post-trip inspections. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES: Properly secures heavy equipment or material for transport while ensuring all loads conform to local, state, and federal regulations. Responsible for loading & unloading heavy equipment or materials for transportation, including proper securement and binding for proper transport to job sites. Drive truck to and from designated destinations for up to 11 hours with and maximum of 14 hours total as DOT rules allow. Safely drive a Class-A truck hauling equipment on a flatbed/low-boy trailer in a variety of conditions, including urban, suburban, and rural environments Perform daily pre & post- trip inspections/safety checks with appropriate documentation in compliance with DOT guidelines and company policies. Reports all safety issues and/or repairs required. Performs minor repairs and preventative maintenance to ensure vehicle is in safe operation condition. Follow all DOT regulations and company safety driving guidelines and policies. Drivers must have a valid Class A CDL, a recent DOT physical, be 21 years old or older, have a clean driving record, and be willing to work for 30 days straight with no time off during the OTR training period. To begin, we are offering a 30-day OTR training opportunity with a weekly compensation of $800. After completing the OTR program, you will be hired on a permanent basis and allocated a Company Truck with an average weekly compensation of $1150 to $1500.
