Masis Staffing food assembler job description

These positions are temp to hire, working in a fast paced environment. Once hired on, insurance after 90 days as well as vacation time!

Refer a friend and receive a $100 referral bonus after 30 days.

Starting rate for 1st shift: $17.00 per hour.

Starting rate for 2nd shift: $18.00 per hour.

We also have PRN (as needed) shifts for those looking for part time work or just looking to earn a little extra money for the holidays!!!

Training is provided to every new hire every step of they way to help you achieve your goals. This job is repetitive, but it gives you the chance to hone in your skills.

  • This is a COLD environment, so if you like the cold, this job could be a great fit for you. Must be willing to work in cooler temps between 40 and 50 degrees.

  • We are centrally located in Dickson and convenient to Charlotte, Waverly, White Bluff and other surrounding cities in and around Dickson County.

Responsibilities:

  • You will learn how to prepare a significant number of prepared items in a minute

  • Assemble a minimum of 32 sandwiches per minute on an assembly line (16 movements per minute)

  • Stuff packages into cartons by hand

  • Inspect cartons for damage and correct dates

  • Place cartons into cases

  • Required to rotate through all positions on the line

  • Stack off cases onto pallets

  • Regular, punctual, and predictable attendance

  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Must wear steel-toed safety shoes as floors may be wet/slick from the sanitation process

  • Responsible for food safety and quality

  • Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions

  • Complete an orientation process which provides training in the Key Concepts of Food Safety and Quality

  • Understand that identification of any failures in these areas is their responsibility

  • If they identify a deficiency in Food Safety and/or Quality, they are responsible for taking corrective action and reporting the issue to their direct supervisor or Quality supervisor

  • Ability to pass a background check and a drug screen.

  • Other duties as assigned

Physical Demands:

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand; use hands and fingers, (constant simple grasping with right and left hands)

  • Frequent bending at waist, twisting, squatting

  • Occasional pushing/pulling with right and left hands

  • Occasional reaching above shoulder

  • The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds with a max of 35 pounds
