The Role
We have an immediate opportunity for a Forensic Structural Engineer with interests in structural forensic investigation, litigation support, risk loss consulting, structural repair, and retrofit design. This individual will execute structural investigations of existing buildings and design remedial repairs for deficient conditions.

Responsibilities
On-site inspections and investigations including surveying and documenting observations, photographing, and sketching.Researching the historical background of diverse structures, technical issues, and code issues.Organizes field data to facilitate analysis and problem-solving.Complete structural analysis and repair rehabilitation design of concrete, steel, timber, masonry, and other structural systems.

Qualifications
Degree (Master's preferred) in structural or architectural engineering; undergraduate in engineering is required.Field experience with diverse building types preferred.Ability and willingness to travel within the US and internationally.

To be considered for this position, you must minimally meet the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed below:

  • A Bachelor of Science degree with 8 years of experience is required. In lieu of a Bachelor's degree, 4 years of additional experience may be substituted
  • Active Secret security clearance and ability to obtain Top Secret is required.
  • At least one Forensic certification. These can include those issued by SANS (GCFE, GASF), IACIS (CFCE, CMFE), Cellebrite (CCPA, CCME), NCFI (BCERT, MDE), and Opentext (EnCE) or other approved certifications.
  • Ability to work independently while adhering to policy guidelines
  • Strong critical, creative, and analytical thinking skills.
  • Experience developing technically detailed reports that translate complex technical information to non-technical audiences.

Preferred Qualifications

Candidates with these preferred skills will be given preferential consideration:
