WORK SCHEDULE: 2nd Shift (2:00pm- 10:00pm, Monday- Friday)
3rd Shift (10:00pm- 6:00am, Sunday- Thursday)
**All 3rd Shift employees receive Shift Differential pay
SUMMARY: The Grand Format Machine Operator I is responsible for the set-up, adjustment, and safe operation of all relevant equipment to produce quality finished products that meet customer specifications and completed in accordance with company policies and procedures.
JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Login to Batching System to view customer jobs due dates and identify priorities
• Examine job orders to determine details such as: quantities to be printed, production times, stock specifications, colors, and color sequences
• Perform work with: FlatBed Printer, Cutting Equipment, Seam and Grommet Equipment
• Setup assigned apparatus to specifications and run product
• Monitor assigned machine adjusting speed, temperature, ink flow and positions of products to ensure machine is maintaining the proper registration and/or proper cut and scoring specifications
• Unload machine and stack materials on the table or pallets
• Make adjustments as needed to maintain set specifications and timely flow of materials
• Inspect and examine printed products for print clarity, color accuracy, conformance to specifications and external defects
• Maintain proper machine maintenance and lubrication
• Complete and maintain all required paperwork, records, documents, etc.
• Provide thorough training to employees including but not limited to new hires, transfers, and newly promoted employees as needed
• Report any/all workplace hazards, work related injuries, illnesses, incident, and/or
near misses to management immediately
• Keep all work area/station in compliance with our housekeeping guidelines
• Follow and comply with all safety and work rules and regulations
• Wear all assigned Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when required
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:
• 1-2 year’s previous experience working in a manufacturing/production environment
• IT Proficient
• Quality oriented and driven
DESIRED CHARACTERISTICS:
• Mechanically inclined and production oriented
• Experience in a wide or large format production environment is a plus although further training will be provided
• Ability to read and comprehend job tickets assignments and customer instructional specifications

Position is a 2nd shift position, but training conducted on 1st.
Responsibilities:
* Performing chemical preparation materials used in the manufacturing process
* Working with a variety of automatic and semi auto machines and equipment, while following process specifications at all times; immerse into solution tanks for prescribed time and remove all at completion cycle
* Read meters and perform math calculations and adhere to specific instructions
* Makes minor but sensitive changeovers and set ups with required extreme accuracy
* Visually inspects parts for conformance to specifications and records data on lot traveler ticket Communicate process specifics/issues to Engineers/Technicians
Requirements:
* Must be mechanically inclined and fully trained in the use of micrometers, dial calipers, and analytical balance
* May have occasional exposure to dust, noise, heat, and mild chemicals that fall below acceptable limits as established by current government standards
* Able to stand of long intervals, light lifting is required
* Adheres to company quality and safety requirements
* Must wear required PPE
