The Project Manager must be capable of working closely with municipal clients to ensure their expectations of services are exceeded. As a member of Garver's growing Harlingen Water Infrastructure Design Center, the Structural Team Leader will be responsible for building, leading and managing a group of structural engineering professionals in support of various water/wastewater projects. Extensive background emphasis in concrete design for environmental structures, including high-volume, custom plant projects, will allow this team leader the opportunity to be hands-on with design, directly involved with clients, provide mentorship to team members and actively participate in marketing initiatives. What you'll do: Generally, the responsibilities of this role will entail taking projects from conceptual planning to bid ready documents, including preliminary member sizing, design calculations, inter-discipline coordination, preparation of specifications, coordination with regional offices and quality assurance and control. Ideal candidates shall be capable of evaluating and designing a wide variety of materials including concrete, concrete masonry unit (CMU), steel aluminum and fiber-reinforced polymer (FRP).
