To provide administrative assistance to the CSM Department of Physics and Biophysics as well as to the college.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities to include, but are not limited to:
As needed, provide administrative support to the College of Science and Mathematics under the direction of the Administrative Assistant to the Dean or other designee specified by the Dean.
Provide administrative support to department; gathering signatures and routing paperwork, screening and transferring calls, scheduling appointments for Chair, creating requisitions for employment ads, assisting with travel authorizations, travel expense reimbursements, conference registrations and travel arrangements, process foundation reimbursements, enter ePAR and other database information, compile and archive syllabi and other course information as needed.
Maintain departmental records, coordinate faculty hiring paperwork including preparation and approval of part-time faculty contracts, gather information and prepare department reports/spreadsheets as needed.
Manage departmental office, coordinating departmental office supplies, office equipment, work order requests.
Manage timesheets and records for student employees including electronic approvals and entering missed punches.
Gather information and summarize data relevant to departmental activities including budget and instructional areas.
Coordinate customer service for department including managing faculty and student requests as needed; coordinate advising and registration activities.
Perform all other job-related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Associate degree from an accredited college or university in a related field and a minimum of three years of progressively responsible experience in administrative support positions; or a high school diploma or GED from a recognized State or Federal accrediting organization and six years of progressively responsible experience in administration support positions.

The Dental College of Georgia at Augusta University, we provide dental education to the next generation of professionals by offering hands-on education through innovative research, patient care, and service. Join other dental providers to improve the oral health of Georgia and beyond. The DCG was founded to provide the people of Georgia with quality dental care by educating students in dentistry. As a patient, you have the option to receive treatment in one of our three different practice models consisting of student clinics, resident care, or in the faculty practice. All dental treatments can be completed by the specialists in our facility. We also serve patients in more than 20 clinics across Georgia.
Job Summary
Support and assist the department program director with daily tasks such as scheduling, data entry, formatting, editing, grading, and posting of any course related materials. Provide customer service to patients, faculty, and students on a daily basis. Maintain proficient user status with Exam Soft and D2L. Assigned direct admin AEGD program.
Responsibilities
The duties include, but are not limited to:
DAILY OPERATIONS: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Advanced Education In General Dentistry Residency Program. Organize the activities of the program to ensure completed work meets required time frames and standards of quality and quantity. Ensure that time keeping, and faculty and residents are doing effort reporting In the respective campus systems, as well as tract leave of residents.
SCHEDULE: Establishes and maintains the schedule of program office activities, prioritizes program related tasks, and ensures that the Program Director Is aware of the important deadlines related to program activities, including managing calendars and appointments, composing correspondence/reports, manuals, preparing teaching material, making travel or meeting arrangements and travel expense reimbursements for faculty and residents
ACADEMIC DUTIES: Generate the semester program schedules using the General Dentistry approved schedule template. Enter and maintain postgraduate academic grades, registrations and curriculum Inventory In Banner. Manage departmental files and academic records for the residency program. Prepare reports for CODA, ADA Survey and Annual Report. Track and maintain Advanced Education In General Dentistry Residency Program funds, process check requests, IDRs, and reconcile accounts.
REQUESTS & RECORDS: Responsible for data entry/scanning/storage of logs, manuals, and records. Have extensive knowledge of Axium to maintain records, perform audits and run reports.
SPREADSHEETS & REPORTS: Creates spreadsheets, including formulas to organize, display and summarize data. Prepare spreadsheets reports for department management, college administration and other divisions of the University as requested or required. Specifically, production data reports on the residents.
SESSIONS: Coordinate and schedule vendors and speakers for residents for "Lunch and Learn" training sessions, assist with setup of catering and use of seminar room and audiovisual equipment. Perform any other administrative tasks as requested or assigned by the Program Director.
FINANCIAL AND BUDGET DUTIES: Critical analysis and tracking of All financial and budgetary information including monitoring expenses, purchases, oversight of data entry, monthly reconciliation of expenses. Acts Independently and in concert with the Chair to ensure fiscal soundness of the department in alignment with the department and DCG budget plans. Coordinate expenses from department accounts as approved by the Chair. Manage department research and travel funds, including oversight, management and completion of the documentation.
Evaluate budget reports to manage projected annual expenses and prepare department expense reports. Maintain bookkeeping through monthly PeopleSoft financial reports. Process reimbursements. Perform monthly account reconciliations on all accounts.
OTHER DUTIES: Perform other duties as assigned.

Located conveniently in Augusta's downtown medical community, Georgia War Veterans Nursing Home provides continuous professional nursing care to veterans of Georgia who have served in the armed forces during war times. The home is owned and funded by the Georgia Department of Veterans Service and operated through an interagency agreement with Augusta University. Through this association, Georgia War Veterans Nursing Home is considered a leader in the area of geriatric educational training for Augusta University.
Job Summary
This position is responsible for performing nursing care and treatments for geriatric patients. He/she will assist patients with activities of daily living. They will monitor patients and report changes to the charge nurse or supervisor as needed. The work will be performed with some latitude for the exercise of independent judgement and initiative within the scope of practice for the Certified Nursing Assistant.
Responsibilities
The duties include, but are not limited to:
RESIDENT CARE: Provides care for assigned residents and request assistance when necessary.
ASSIST WITH ADL'S: Assists residents with ADL's such as bathing, shaving, oral care, styling hair and dressing; Distributes meal trays and assists patients in consuming meals; Empties urinals and drainage collection bags; Records I&O as instructed; Collects routine specimens.

RESIDENT TRANSFER: Assist residents in transferring to and from bed, chair, commode or stretcher utilizing safe transfer techniques and equipment, such as Hoyer lifts, transfer boards and gait belts.
RESIDENT MAINTENNACE PLAN: Observe for proper circulation as necessary; Perform range of motion and ambulate patients as indicated in the plan of care; Maintain functional maintenance plan as instructed.
ROOM AND EQUIPMENT MAINTENANCE: Maintains resident rooms, makes beds, cleans bedside tables, closets, etc. daily; Maintains patients' equipment; Rinses soiled clothing as necessary and stores in plastic bags for laundry pickup; Puts up clothes upon return from laundry.
RESIDENT ASSISTANCE: Escorts residents to and from areas of the facility and hospitals as assigned; Remains with patients as instructed and assists in all areas of care, if needed during routine clinic visits.

Department responsibilities include the advanced dental education (residency) program, the DMD pre-doctoral program, clinical patient care in the orthodontic clinic and scholarly activities in Orthodontics.
The ideal candidate will be expected to have outstanding academic credentials, demonstrated evidence of leadership in the discipline of orthodontics consistent with a significant national or international professional reputation, and will bring a vision for innovative approaches to dental education.
The successful candidate will demonstrate administrative and leadership experience. This includes recruitment, supervision, and development; performance assessment and management of faculty and staff; unit goal setting; financial planning and analysis; securing and allocating resources; clear and consistent communication; as well as curriculum development. A successful Department Chair will develop and foster a strong relationship with the alumni of the graduate program. In addition, we will expect the Department Chair to develop and maintain a research portfolio that is consistent with DCG s and AU's strategic plans.

Responsibilities
The Department Chair will be responsible for the development, supervision, and overall leadership of the Department of Orthodontics, as well as establishing collaborations across DCG departments, with an added focus on public health, community outreach, scholarly activities, and research. The Department Chair oversees all aspects of the predoctoral and postdoctoral orthodontics programs, including clinical operations, mentoring faculty, student success, and integrating new curricular content and technologies into the classrooms and the clinics. Located conveniently in Augusta's downtown medical community, Georgia War Veterans Nursing Home provides continuous professional nursing care to veterans of Georgia who have served in the armed forces during war times. The home is owned and funded by the Georgia Department of Veterans Service and operated through an interagency agreement with Augusta University. Through this association, Georgia War Veterans Nursing Home is considered a leader in the area of geriatric educational training for Augusta University.
Job Summary
This position is responsible for performing nursing care and treatments for geriatric patients. He/she will assist patients with activities of daily living. They will monitor patients and report changes to the charge nurse or supervisor as needed. The work will be performed with some latitude for the exercise of independent judgement and initiative within the scope of practice for the Certified Nursing Assistant.
Responsibilities
The duties include, but are not limited to:
RESIDENT CARE: Provides care for assigned residents and requests assistance when necessary.
ASSIST WITH ADL'S: Assists residents with ADL's such as bathing, shaving, oral care, styling hair, and dressing; Distributes meal trays and assists residents in consuming meals; Empties urinals and drainage collection bags; Records I&O as instructed; Collects routine specimens.
RESIDENT MONITORING: Monitor resident weight utilizing standing lift and wheelchair scales; Monitor vitals as ordered; Document all care provided on the correct form and report any changes in resident condition promptly to the Charge Nurse.
RESIDENT TRANSFER: Assist residents in transferring to and from bed, chair, commode, or stretcher utilizing safe transfer techniques and equipment, such as Hoyer lifts, transfer boards, and gait belts.
RESIDENT MAINTENANCE PLAN: Observe for proper circulation as necessary; Perform a range of motion and ambulate residents as indicated in the plan of care; Maintain functional maintenance plan as instructed.
ROOM AND EQUIPMENT MAINTENANCE: Maintains resident rooms, makes beds, cleans bedside tables, closets, etc. daily; Maintains residents equipment; Rinses soiled clothing as necessary and stores in plastic bags for laundry pickup; Puts clothes upon return from laundry.
RESIDENT ASSISTANCE: Escorts residents to and from areas of the facility and hospitals as assigned; Remains with residents as instructed and assists in all areas of care, if needed, during routine clinic visits.

Required Qualifications
High school diploma, or GED from a recognized State or Federal accrediting organization. Certified as a Nursing Assistant in the state of Georgia.
