EMC Advertising is a full-service marketing/advertising agency in Rocklin, California (Sacramento Area) focused exclusively on Legal Marketing. Our advertising agency works with law firms throughout the United States developing campaigns nationally and in local markets.

As part of our growth, our creative team is hiring an experienced Videographer/Editor/Motion Graphics person, responsible for shooting video, creating motion graphics animation, and editing for 15 and 30-second commercials. We shoot mostly green screen to be used in compositions with layers of animation, so knowledge of keying is a must. Some on-location shoots are expected, so experience with Sony cameras is a plus.

We are looking for a vibrant, creative individual with extensive technical and creative expertise using various editing platforms. The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and experience:
Requirements:
* 4+ years' experience as a professional videographer/editor/motion graphics editor.
* Advanced experience with Adobe Creative Cloud software package.
* Knowledge of broadcast standards, audio levels and today's many different editing formats, including
compression formats.
* Ability to take on a high volume of work with proven ability to multi-task
* Capable of producing high quality content under a tight timeline
* Knowing the Do's and Don'ts of layout and design.
* Ability to work both individually and with a team of editors
* Proven ability to take creative direction from senior level design team and execute it into video content or
motion graphics
* Good work ethics, strong organizational skills and creative mind.
* Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus!

Job Description

The Washington Post is seeking an experienced motion graphics editor and animator with a background in live newscast production.

The motion graphics editor-animator will be responsible for leading graphics production and playout for the Video department's coverage of live news events in a broadcast control room environment. Primary responsibilities include designing onscreen graphics using Viz Artist and Adobe After Effects and operating Viz Trio during live programs. Additional responsibilities include supporting the daily creation of pre-production graphics for video packages.

The successful applicant must have exceptional design and typography skills and expertise in creating motion graphics using Adobe Creative Cloud and Vizrt. The ideal candidate also has demonstrated experience designing and developing stories using mixed-media and 2-D/3-D animation techniques. The motion graphics editor-animator is responsible for taking various forms of media and creating engaging and easy-to-understand motion graphics. Projects can range from a poll graphic to an animated explainer.

The ideal candidate has at least three years of experience in a fast-paced newsroom environment, including a broadcast control room, strong news judgment, a passion for visual art, excellent communication skills, strong writing skills and a proven record of producing compelling animated content for live programs.

This position is based in our Washington newsroom. Applicants must be able to work all shifts, including early mornings, nights and weekends as determined by the live coverage schedule.
