Salary range for this position is $90,593.36 - $105,914.12 with a progressive benefit package. This is an onsite position in North Liberty, IA with the ability for hybrid after 6 months.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Performs essential duties and responsibilities in the following areas which may include but are not limited to those listed and are subject to change. Ensure the department operates efficiently and effectively in meeting the internal and external member's needs. Responsible for departmental project management and will be the lead contact in all mergers and acquisitions, system upgrades, and conversions. Coordinate with other departments, and/or third-party vendors in the development and implementation of all process improvements affecting the Collections Department. Coordinates all Vendor Management activities, including contract renewals, obtaining necessary documents, and submission of all new requests for final approval by SVP/Collections & Recoveries. Develops and implement software/system test scripts and integrate workarounds to provide fixes to defined technical issues Communicates process changes, enhancements, and modifications - verbally or through written documentation - to management, peers, staff, and other employees so that technology issues and solutions within the account resolution department are understood. Manages the timely audit of necessary data for year-end reporting documents, including but not limited to 1099C. Oversees the production and distribution of said documents by appropriate processing team. Manages KaiNexus for the Collections Department. Reviews, researches, completes necessary analytics, and compiles evaluation and recommendation for prioritization and implementation to present to Department Leader. Works closely with other Information Technology teams and other Credit Union departments; coordinating projects that need shared resources, determining and resolving any overlapping impacts on various systems, and ensuring good working relationships between all employees. Provides support and assistance during internal, state, and federal audits and examinations. Assists Leaders with various projects within the department. Supports the SVP/Collections & Recoveries and department leaders with other duties and tasks necessary to ensure the Collections Department is efficient and successful. Manages Quality Assurance process for department completing monthly call monitors for staff, scoring specific number of calls for each individual within the department, providing coaching and feedback on the effectiveness of each call. Completes monthly quality assurance reviews for support staff tasks such as case audits, Loss Mitigation applications, workflow completeness, E-Oscar compliance for notifications and response, charge-offs etc. Identifies opportunities for and participates in the development and implementation of process improvements to improve efficiency, compliance, and to reduce the opportunity for human error. Provides ongoing mentoring for staff within the department ensuring that consistent communication and support is available, including a 30/60/90-day check-in with new hires. Serves as the point of contact for all Collection complaints, including thoroughly investigating and documenting customer complaints, and if applicable, rectify any issues while complying with company policies and regulations Responsible for completing auditing on various processes to ensure adherence to investor and GSCU policies. Maintain thorough knowledge of and ensure compliance with applicable federal and state laws, rules, regulations, investor guidelines as well as GSCU policies and procedures.
Job Requirements/Expectations
Bachelor's degree in business or related field and/or equivalent years' experience required. Minimum 5-years' experience working in Collections or Call Center environment. Knowledge of procedures, processes, policies, and regulations as they relate to collections and areas of responsibility. Excellent interpersonal and persuasive skills necessary to gather data from multiple sources to complete projects and to represent the Credit Union in a positive way during periods of stressful member contact. Self-directed nature, ability to work independent of supervision, and ability to follow directions and meet deadlines. Positive attitude, team first focus with an emphasis on providing outstanding customer service and team support. Excellent verbal and written communication skills and attention to detail are required. Ability, availability, and willingness to work flexible hours to accomplish workload. Ability to coordinate, prioritize, and complete multiple, ongoing projects in a fast paced and collaborative environment. A working knowledge of compliance, consumer credit, real estate, and bankruptcy laws and regulations is preferred. Working knowledge of Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA), Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA), Fair Credit reporting Act (FCRA) Unfair Deceptive and Abusive Acts & Practices (UDAAP). Ability to work independently prioritize assignments and organize work efficiently, to handle large volumes of details. 16. Provides excellent customer service to clients' questions to provide appropriate answers related to their coverage and/or policy status.
17. Documents all material conversation with insured and/or carriers regarding exposures and coverage with agency management system.
18. Assists with record keeping of sales activities and results.
19. Attends service and/or sales meetings as needed.

Pay range for this hourly position is $17.39 - $20.33/hr with a monthly incentive opportunity and a progressive benefits package.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Performs essential duties and responsibilities in the following areas which may include, but are not limited to those listed and are subject to change:
Adheres to the Credit Union Service Standards in carrying out GreenState's mission and vision.
Demonstrates a positive member service (internal and external) focus at all times, greeting members and guests with a smile and eye contact immediately upon their arrival, using their name or acknowledging them, and thanking them for their business.
Demonstrates teamwork in all interactions with coworkers and in the completion of all duties and responsibilities.
Ensures confidentiality of member information.
Supports a diverse and inclusive work environment.
Ensures confidentiality of members account records and account information. Request identification whenever necessary and provide account information to only those members listed as primary or joint owners.
Makes weekly outbound service calls to members.
Answers member questions or refer members to appropriate departments or supervisors.
Assists with member account discrepancies, statement problems, complaints and escalates as necessary.
Performs member transactions including; deposits, withdrawals, transfers, check cashing, loan payments, credit card payments, cash advances, bond redemptions, disbursement of official checks, sale of money orders, cashier checks, savings bonds, and promotional sales materials.
Builds member relationships by recognizing their financial needs and meeting those needs with the appropriate GreenState product and service or referring them to the specialized department (Wealth Management, Commercial, Mortgage, GreenState Insurance etc.) to be served.
Maintains a satisfactory balancing record.
Educates members and staff of the features and benefits of all our products and services.
Refers products and services that benefit members to achieve team goals.
Accepts and examines checks for endorsements and negotiability. Determine availability of funds based on regulations and policy. Place holds on accounts for uncollected funds when necessary, provide member with the proper documentation.
Processes mail and night deposit transactions.
Completes all forms including negotiable instrument logs, vault cash advances/turn-ins, direct deposit, member check orders.
Participates in Opening and Closing procedures. Organize the MSR area and turn off all equipment (computers, copier, adding machines, lights). Ensure all confidential information is secured at the end of the day.
Complete daily work including balancing and reconciliation of drawer offages.
Monitors and manage the vault including cash disbursements, balancing, and end of day lock-up. Ensure that enough, but not excessive, funds are always on hand .
Assists in security procedures. Has access to and is accountable for office keys and combinations.
Balances, maintains, and corrects the coin machine and cash recyclers.
Plays a vital role in enriching the community by participating in community service organizations and/or Credit Union sponsored events.
Job Requirements/Expectations
JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Thorough knowledge of deposit products and regulations.
Accuracy in the handling of cash, recording daily transactions, and attention to detail.
Good telephone manners and techniques.
Ability to work with minimal direction and exercise sound judgment.
Member account problem-solving skills.
Proficiency with related computer applications, spreadsheets, word processing, and database applications.
Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships as a cohesive team.
High school diploma or the equivalent (i.e. GED).
Cash handling, sales, and customer service experience desired.
Must be bondable.
Reports to work punctually, works all scheduled hours, and works overtime as necessitated by business demand.
Reporting Relationship Reports to the Vice President/Branch Managers as assigned. Supervisory Responsibilities This position is not responsible for supervision of other employees. Requirements
Candidates should be pursuing a bachelor's degree in business (finance) or a related area or a bachelor's degree with relevant experience. You should be able to work in a fast-paced, team-based environment, have strong research, quantitative, analytical, and written and verbal communication skills and be proficient with Microsoft Office products, especially Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
