Position Summary
We are seeking a dependable Janitorial Staff Member to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for keeping our facility clean, sanitized, and well-maintained. This position plays a key role in ensuring the comfort and safety of everyone in our care.
Key Responsibilities
Duties include, but are not limited to:
Cleaning office areas and common spaces
Vacuuming all carpeted areas throughout the facility
Mopping and maintaining dining areas
Cleaning and sanitizing bathrooms, including sinks, toilets, and urinals
Wiping down desks, tables, and work surfaces
Emptying and disposing of trash from all designated areas
Replenishing restroom supplies (toilet paper, soap, paper towels, etc.)
Cleaning windows and glass surfaces
Wiping down furniture and ensuring surfaces are dust-free
Qualifications
Prior janitorial, custodial, or housekeeping experience preferred
Knowledge of proper cleaning and sanitation practices
Ability to lift moderate weight and stand for extended periods
Strong attention to detail and reliability

Duties:
1. Supervise and provide training to residents in personal hygiene, grooming, and dressing.
2. Supervise and facilitate all recreational and leisure time.

5. Document activities and maintain daily log.
6. Participate in 40 hours of in-service training annually to include management of aggressive behavior and psychotropic medications.
7. Immediately report any suspected incident of child abuse, neglect or exploitation to the Child Abuse Hotline and to the Executive Director or Program Director and or staff supervisor.
8. Ensures the property, grounds, physical workplace areas are maintained to standard.

The supervisor will be responsible for all basic functions including security of the facility , reports, summaries, and logs pertaining to their shift.
