SAIC is rapidly growing a System Integration team to deliver a new, complex space and ground system in support of National Security. This exciting and innovative program, located in Chantilly, VA, is leveraging best practices in system engineering, via Digital Engineering, MBSE, Agile software development, and DevSecOps processes and technology. This multi-year contract will require energetic engineers to define and integrate major space systems and associated ground elements from concept into an operational enterprise

We have an opening for a Information Systems Architect to provide systems engineering and project management for a dynamic infrastructure in support of a DOD Customer. Our program is integrating space and ground architectures to create a next generation system. We are responsible for providing the DevSecOps environment and supporting infrastructure.

The Information System Architect works closely with the ground and space developers and our customer to develop solutions that enable digital engineering, and modeling and simulation environments. The Ground System Architect is an individual contributor and member of a team of SMEs, and systems engineers who develop operational, functional, and technical system designs.
Specifically, the Information System Architect:

* Serves as the representative technical expert in developing architecture artifacts that convey graphical understanding of the infrastructure functions, designs and operation
* Coordinates with technical domain SMEs to gather understanding of the systems and interfaces necessary to satisfy development environment requirements
* Prepares proposals and cost estimates for system enhancements and alternate courses of action
* Develops and present briefings to engineering boards to guide the program through the engineering and acquisition trade space

Qualifications

TYPICAL EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelors and fourteen (14) years or more experience; Masters and twelve (12) years or more experience; PhD or JD and nine (9) years or more experience

* Active TS, TS/SCI preferred
* Bachelor degree in engineering, science, or related disciplines
* Exceptional communication and project coordination skills
* Solid understanding of Ground systems Architectures and Test & Integration Environments
