Information technology project lead job description

The IT Business Lead Analyst is a senior-level position responsible for liaising between business users and technologists to exchange information in a concise, logical and understandable way in coordination with the Technology team. The overall objective of this role is to contribute to continuous iterative exploration and investigation of business performance and other measures to gain insight and drive business planning.
Responsibilities:

Provide input during development and implementation phases, including formulation and definition of systems scope, objectives and necessary system enhancements for complex, high-impact projects Identify and communicate risks and impacts and propose risk mitigation options, considering business implications of the application of technology to the current business environment Consult with business clients to determine system functional specifications and partner with multiple management teams and other units to meet organizational objectives Evaluate new IT developments and evolving business requirements and recommend appropriate systems alternatives and/or enhancements to current systems by analyzing business processes, systems and industry standards Provide in-depth and sophisticated analyses with interpretive thinking to define problems, develop innovative solutions and influence strategic functional decisions Ability to act as project manager on assignments if necessary Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.


Qualifications:



6-10 years of experience Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint) with extensive experience using Excel for data analysis Experience with all phases of Software Development Life Cycle Comprehensive knowledge of the principles of business analysis


Education:



Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience Master's degree preferred



Experienced project manager with knowledge of Liquidity, Collateral and Capital Markets Work closely with business partners to determining solutions and manage their expectations of deliverables Manage RAG status, milestones, risks, and issues of multiple projects. Work with business and technology teams to remediate and find a path to green Ability to create senior level presentations Excellent organizational skills are necessary for success Previous experience working with regulatory projects and new regulations a plus

E*TRADE is seeking an Associate, IT Project Management with Agile Scrum experience, expertise and a software development background, to join a dynamic team of technology pioneers. The IT Project Manager embodies the servant leader belief and seeks to server as a supporter to scrum teams in achieving higher levels of success.

Your software development experience, collaborative approach, ability to identify challenges as opportunities teamed with energy and excitement to coach, drive, and facilitate software development will deliver best in class financial services products to the market.

Additionally, you will work closely with various product owners to understand the priority of business initiatives and with your scrum teams to remove blockers/impediments and drive increased team velocity. A key component to success in this role is to develop relationships across the organization, including Technology, Product Management, and other functional areas, in order to influence teams to ensure high priority requirements are appropriately detailed and prioritized to be worked on by the team/s.
RESPONSIBILITIES

**Ability to drive cross collaboration within a Scrum Team, Product Owner, Sponsors, Stakeholders and shared services organizations (Design, Legal, Compliance, etc.) by demonstrating people and relationships over tools and processes.

**Exceptional project management skills with an emphasis on the ability to support our technology and business partners to continually drive the creation of business value and overall project success in the form of high value, high quality working software.

**Proactively manage and remove impediments and risks to ensure that the teams can focus on delivering incremental business value, while working to establish the team's baseline velocity, sprint cadence and release plan. Ensure that the team remains focused on delivering high quality working software at the end of each sprint.

**Lead core scrum ceremonies and coach the team on foundational and advanced agile concepts such as the daily standup, backlog grooming, sprint planning, retrospectives, user story mapping and hypothesis validation (strong listening, teaching ability and passion for Agile is a must).

REQUIREMENTS

**Interdisciplinary background with a focus or particular demonstration of success in engineering, science or finance/economics.

**Proven leader who embraces technology leadership and has an in-depth understanding of how to create high performing teams within the Agile framework.

**Possesses a strategic flexibility to implement project management approaches to ensure project success.

**Experience in FINTECH, Financial Services or other applicable fields with a focus in driving enterprise level technology.

**Practice over theory. Active utilization of core Agile framework, successfully managing scrum teams.

**Experience managing the technical components of large-scale projects. Mastery in all aspects of project management with emphasis on the technical aspects of planning, execution and deployment.

**Core tools proficiency including MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and Project) JIRA and Confluence.

Academic Background

**Undergraduate degree in science or engineering, at least 5 years' experience in Agile development, scrum, project or program management.

Qualifications/Education/Experience/Skills:

* Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience required, degree in Information Technology, Communications, or related field preferred.
* Certified Scrum Master and/or PMP Certification preferred.
* Proficient in project management tools and techniques, and in requirements definition and management.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills. The ability to communicate clearly and concisely in oral, written, and presentation formats is essential.
* Aptitude to accept complex assignments, analyze and prioritize problems, execute tasks, motivate others and have some fun!

* Frequent sitting at an office desk with computer for long periods of time.
* May require potential travel to other Gavilon locations, both domestic and international.
