SAIC is looking for a Senior Infrastructure Project Manager to join our team supporting an important US government agency in the National Capital Region. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a team that engineers and implement upgrades and changes to critical IT systems and applications.

The customer manages and maintains a roadmap of IT infrastructure projects and upgrades that are prioritized and tasked to support contractors. Major projects include Azure and Microsoft Dynamics migrations, RedHat (RHEL) and Windows operating system upgrades, JAVA Runtime Edition (JRE) updates across the enterprise, a full implementation of enterprise identity and access management (IAM) tools and associated services, datacenter migrations and more. These are a few examples of the important tasks and projects for which the project manager in this position would be responsible for leading and managing.

Project managers provide leadership and direction to cross-functional project teams comprised of systems engineers, test engineers, systems administrators, database administrators, project sponsors and others. Project managers are responsible for scope, schedule, and quality performance of IT project teams. Responsibilities also include managing scope, coordinating stakeholder participation, assessing and mitigating risks, reporting progress against plan, and collecting lessons learned.
**Qualifications**

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's degree with 10+ years' of project management experience in a technical environment with a variety of IT systems. At least eight of those years of experience must be leading the execution of IT projects in a project or task manager role.

REQUIRED SKILLS: PMI-PMP Certification required. The successful candidate must also have broad knowledge of current information technology systems, infrastructures, and technologies.

Candidate must also have strong communication skills and the ability to interact with a large community of stakeholders. Candidates must possess leadership skills to successfully manage diverse teams. All candidates for consideration must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.

DESIRED SKILLS: A solid understanding of requirements analysis and verification. Azure Cloud models knowledge/ experience and ITIL Foundation certification are a plus. Strong understanding of IT Infrastructure projects and technical experience (certifications preferred) in Microsoft, Cisco, Oracle Database and Fusion Middleware migrations, etc. are also a plus. A strong working knowledge of network technologies and concepts, Active Directory, Windows OS, and Desktop and cloud applications such as Office365 and SharePoint Online.

We are looking for a highly skilled Project Manager to lead multiple projects in support of the restaurant technology and innovations deployed in 13,000 US McDonald's restaurants. This includes emerging technologies such as self-order kiosks, servers, integrated POS terminals, digital menu boards, biometric readers, and more. This position provides the opportunity to build relationships with a variety of McDonald's product owners, suppliers, and franchisees. The team operates in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities that'll be good for those that are quick to adapt while looking to experience various technologies.
Role & Responsibilities:

Lead multiple tech projects through initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and completion utilizing established frameworks and PM methodologies

Work with cross-functional teams throughout the life of the project to ensure alignment from development, deployment, and support.

Manage hardware lifecycle for US technology estate and communicate key dates to stakeholders

Research new technologies and provide recommendations to meet future business needs

Build and evolve product lifecycle tools

Evaluate McDonald's technology suppliers and other industry leaders' product roadmaps and communicate opportunities to improve restaurant technology

Partner with McDonald's owner operators, suppliers, and internal teams to advocate for innovation and modernize our restaurant technology portfolio.

Visit McDonald's restaurants to gather feedback from crew and rethink approaches to improve guest experience with new technology.

Support and assist in daily meetings and technical projects

Understand McDonalds business requirements to help produce quality outcomes and adapt to new challenges as they arise.

Have a leadership mindset and highest level of commitment to ensure projects are managed efficiently, on schedule, and on target.

Future Projects for Consideration:

Manage the ongoing project evolution of the Technology Reinvestment Program (TRP) to support McDonald's owner operator technology replacement planning with ease

Manage the ongoing project evolution of McDonald's restaurant technology break-fix service models across POS suppliers to provide better support and benefits to our owner operators

Develop process to monitor and measure performance of RTI products, setting KPI's, monitoring systems, data collection, data analysis, and reporting.

Work with cross-functional teams to prototype, test, and deploy a new lifecycle management tool for all of McDonald's Global Technology

As an IT Project Manager, you must have strong leadership and motivational skills to direct the project team effectively and to drive development both creatively and efficiently.

You must also be engaged in the development process and able to easily understand proposed technologies and solutions, investigating and researching when necessary.

It is also vital for your role as an IT Project Manager that you have exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, and that you can convey complex information in a clear and concise manner to team members as well as individuals at all levels of the organization.
Responsibilities:


• Monitoring execution of all deliverables across multiple projects.

• Managing internal and external resources and making sure the project team has the necessary skill sets to complete the project.

• Establishing the project' s overall critical path and ensuring that all project phases adhere to the agreed-upon timeline.

• Assisting project team in troubleshooting and finding solutions to unforeseen issues.

• Communicating with stakeholders, team members and others on project status, including progress, risk and any issues that may have an impact on project delivery.

• Managing customer expectations and proactively closing expectation gaps.

• Taking ownership of, managing and obtaining approvals for all change requests, particularly regarding scope and budget.

• Planning major project phases and establishing project success factors with input from key stakeholders.

• Prioritizing risks and their impacts for mitigation / monitoring.

• Leverage standard tools to manage the project i.e. charter, project plan, risk log, status report, etc.

• Work with key stakeholders to define and measure project success.


Requirements:


• 6+ years project management experience leading medium to large projects through all phases of project life cycle.

• Familiarity with project management tools and methodologies.

• Proficient with MS Project, Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Visio.

• Bachelor' s degree or equivalent experience.

• PMP certification a plus.
