Instructional Technology Facilitators provide, promote, and participate in shared leadership. They are valued for leading a strong innovative and comprehensive district instructional technology program which provides tools, resources, and content that promote critical thinking, problem-solving, and information and communications literacy while also making content engaging, relevant, and meaningful to students. Instructional Technology Facilitators guide academic coaches, building leaders and district administrators to create schools that promote student-owned, modern digital learning skills including collaboration, communication, critical thinking, and creativity. Instructional Technology Facilitators demonstrate the value of lifelong learning and encourage the district community to innovate, learn and grow. They are reflective about their practice and promote inclusion and analysis of assessments that are authentic, structured and demonstrate student understanding. The Instructional Technology Facilitator reports to the Executive Director of Technology Integration and Digital Literacy.
Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

Specific activities include, but are not limited to the following:

Planning and Facilitating Teaching and Learning

* Aligns the mission, resources and activities of the instructional technology program with the Massachusetts State Standards and the district's goals and priorities for teaching and learning.
* Collaborates with district coaches and administrators to co-plan, co-teach and develop curriculum materials and specific lesson plans that integrate technology into the district curriculum.
* Provides professional development addressing instructional theory, practice, and resources that promotes student-owned learning, relevancy, digital literacy skills, collaboration, critical thinking, and creativity.
* Models the integration of technology in all curriculum areas for district coaches and administrators
* Facilitates school participation in technology programs and activities
* Collaborates with the School Librarian/Media Specialist to provide leadership in the school's use of instructional technology resources and plan digital citizenship and information literacy lessons to enhance learning
* Follows a plan for professional development and actively seeks out opportunities to grow professionally

Planning and Facilitating Information Access and Delivery

* Supports/guides implementation best practices related to technology use in the school program based on research, pilot programs, and state/national standards
* Works with district coaches, principals and district leadership team to provide access to technology resources and services of the technology facilitator when needed.
* Works with coaches, the IT staff and leaders in the selection of resources that are compatible with the school technology infrastructure
* Assists with planning the design of the technology infrastructure so that information resources are continually available to the school community
* Promotes family, business, and community partnerships that support the academic success, career readiness, and general well-being of all children
* Adheres to and communicates copyright, as well as other laws and guidelines, pertaining to the distribution and ethical use of all resources
* Works with the Town of Andover's IT Support Technicians to ensure that hardware, applications, and the network infrastructure are available for teaching and learning

Planning and Facilitating Program Administration

* Collaborates with the Librarian/Media Specialist to develop effective decisions that promote the media and technology program.
* Collaborates with the Executive Director of Technology Integration and Digital Literacy, and the school leadership team to develop, implement, and update the district instructional technology plan aligned with the MA DESE standards
* Collaborates with teachers, media and technology staff, and students to evaluate and select resources addressing curricular needs and learning goals
* Assists in the ongoing evaluation of the effectiveness of the instructional technology program
* Ensures that a troubleshooting communication process and system exists in the school
* Collaborates with IT technician to ensure that there is an accurate inventory for the schools and provides other reports on time as required
* Carries out non-instructional duties as assigned and/or as needed to ensure student safety

Qualifications

Qualifications:

* Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education Teacher K-12 licensurerequired
* Master's Degree in instructional technology or information/library science preferred
* Experience in providing instructional technology support services in an educational setting
* Experience in developing instructional materials for adult learners and presenting professional learning opportunities both live and online.
* Knowledge of contemporary instructional technology trends, applications and issues
* Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Superintendent may find appropriate and acceptable.

Description

Deliver competency based learning and assessment to a culturally diverse range of learners in on job and off job situations. Contribute as a member of a larger team of educational professionals, at all times demonstrating those behaviors that fully support technical training values and Freeport-McMoRan SHE policies and procedures.

  • Deliver/facilitate on and off the job Competency Based Development in field of expertise in order to meet customer development needs and quality standards
  • Assist to create competency based learning materials so that learning programs delivered achieve their intended learning outcomes
  • Assist to create competency based assessment tools, professionally conduct on and off the job competency assessments in field of expertise in order to ensure assessment standards are met
  • Assist to schedule and communicate learning programs, follow schedules to ensure that programs are delivered as planned
  • Accurately record and report participant learning and assessment results so that participant records are consistently kept up to date and recorded in the company learning management system
  • Respond to customer learning and development requirements. Provide appropriate technical support and advise in order to assist, meet/exceed customer expectations
  • Demonstrate competence in the principles of application of competency based learning so that development programs delivered and assessed meet quality standards
  • Demonstrate behaviors that match technical training values, follow and apply Freeport-McMoRanpolicies and procedures in order to be a role model for development program participants
  • Perform other duties as required

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Achieved a level of technical competence equivalent to that of an Assistant Instructor, Master Tradesperson, or similar level of proven competency and seven (7) years of directly related work experience, OR
  • Bachelor's degree and three (3) years of directly related work experience
  • Qualifications in the delivery and assessment of competency based learning programs
  • Skill in analytical thinking
  • Demonstrate behaviors that match technical training values, follow and apply Freeport-McMoRan SHE policies and procedures in order to be a role model for development program participants
  • Demonstrate competence in the principles and application of competency based learning so that development programs delivered and assessed meet CBD standards

Pay Range :

$34.25 - $47.60/Hourly

Rate of pay dependent on competency, experience, qualifications and skills
