Global Cellulose Fibers - Georgia - Port Wentworth Mill - PL Range: 11-12, Compensation will be based on experience

As part of the Global Cellulose Fibers business with International Paper, the Port Wentworth mill produces pulp for paper and absorbent products. It currently operates with approximately 315 employees in a high performance, results oriented environment. Our innovative mill offers customers solutions in an ever-changing market. The E&I First Line Leader is responsible for all aspects of electrical and instrumentation maintenance workflow, coordination, execution, and equipment reliability performance. The E&I First Line Leader is expected to partner with different operating managers in each of the areas within the department, the Maintenance management team, other technical disciplines, planning, contracted maintenance, mill stores, project engineering, and reliability engineering functions to ensure high equipment availability, facility preservation, and overall reliable production that meets customer demands within budget. This position reports to the E&I Area Maintenance Manager.

**Qualifications:**

+ Proven safety record (individual performance and leadership)

+ 10 years electrical and instrumentation maintenance experience is required, including workflow, work execution, planning, and preventive/predictive maintenance:

+ Substantial knowledge of and experience maintaining electrical power distribution, motors, drives, instrumentation, PLC, and DCS systems required

+ Strong problem solving and decision making skills and experience on production equipment required.

+ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required.

+ Demonstrated team leadership experience to achieve important results required.

+ The ability to influence people to achieve desired results is required.

**Description**

Under general supervision, supervises, coordinates and controls the safe and efficient operation of an assigned work unit.

+ Assigns, supervises, and reviews the work of staff for assigned work unit.

+ Implement production plans according to approved schedule.

+ May participate in the full range of daily operational duties, performing the most difficult.

+ Inspects and evaluates work in progress, identifies any problem areas, and may direct remedial action.

+ Conducts performance evaluations on subordinate staff.

+ Prepares estimates of the staffing, materials, and equipment requirements for projected work activities.

+ Maintains an inventory of parts and materials. Approves purchases of materials and equipment; maintains time, materials and equipment use reports. Requisitions tools, supplies, materials and equipment.

+ Trains staff in safety procedures. Maintains safety data sheets for crews.

+ Performs other duties as required.

**Qualifications**

**Minimum Requirements:**

+ High School diploma or GED **and** five years of related operational experience, **including** supervisory or lead experience, **OR**

+ Bachelor's degree in a technical mining related discipline with at least one summer internship experience (or equivalent) working in mining or industrial environment, **including** supervisory or lead experience

**Preferred Qualifications:**

+ 4 year accredited apprenticeship in the electrical, instrumentation, and process control trades or equivalent

+ 7 years' experience in industrial plant maintenance or construction

+ Previous experience supervising crews, managing crew safety and scheduling work.

+ Experience in utilizing Microsoft Office & Windows

+ Experience utilizing PLC or DCS systems in industrial process

+ Experience with medium/ high voltage power systems

+ Troubleshooting and diagnostics utilizing test equipment, drawings, & manufacturer manuals.

+ Ability to evaluate risks and drive safe company work practices

+ Current NFPA 70E certification

+ Personal protective equipment is required when performing work in a mine, outdoor, manufacturing or plant environment, including hard hat, hearing protection, safety glasses, safety footwear, and as needed, respirator, rubber steel-toe boots, protective clothing, gloves and any othe prrotective equipment as required

**Maintenance Supervisor, Washington DC**

Constellation is looking for a Maintenance Supervisor to join our team in Washington, DC. This person will supervise a multi-craft team of workers in the maintenance and repair of steam & power generation equipment, HVAC systems, auxiliary equipment, and controls. Responsibilities shall include planning and schedule control, risk analysis, cost control, safety assurance, repair and testing of equipment. Selected candidate will supervise contract labor and outside contractors to support outages, projects, or to supplement department work force. All activities must ensure safety as well as environmental compliance, cost effective repairs, and reliable and efficient operation of plant equipment in support of the Company's goals and objectives. Within their duties is the responsibility to adhere to the Company's business and ethical standards and to assure compliance with al applicable government and industry regulations and practices. Candidates must have a strong Instrumentation & Controls background. Approximately 50% of the work will be supervisory duties, 50% will be performance of Instrumentation & Controls tasks.

**PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:**

+ Responsible for daily supervision, monitoring, and coaching of employees to ensure a productive workforce in compliance with Company policies and procedures.

+ Supervises maintenance team and provide leadership by training, appraising, coaching, counseling, rewarding, and developing employees.

+ Utilize the computerized maintenance management system (Maximo) to plan and schedule maintenance, track man-hours, and report status of tasks.

+ Orders parts to support preventive and corrective maintenance; maintains and tracks spare parts inventory.

+ Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on Instrumentation & Controls systems

+ Assist in preventive and corrective maintenance of electrical and mechanical systems as necessary.

+ Perform calibrations and testing of equipment; maintain custody records of calibration and test equipment.

+ Use troubleshooting skills to diagnose system and equipment problems.

+ Perform installation/replacement of plant equipment and systems.

+ Assist in vendor sourcing to ensure the best value and highest quality for the DC Water Cogeneration Facility.

+ Install revisions or modifications to plant systems, update controls drawings and schematics.

+ Communicate and interact with inter-departmental personnel, vendors, and customer as necessary to accomplish tasks.

+ Follow all approved plant operating, maintenance and health and safety procedures.

+ Exercise judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action. Decisions are made based on formal procedures, calculations, deductive reasoning, and consultation with supervisor.

+ Perform other duties, as assigned.

+ This position may be required to work overtime to support vacations, plant outages, emergency work, etc.

**Qualifications**

**EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE & OTHER REQUIREMENTS:**

+ High school diploma or equivalent

+ Technical training (trade or military)

+ Five years power plant or industrial plant, I & C maintenance experience.

+ Strong electrical and mechanical aptitude, basic steam plant and combustion turbine knowledge.

+ Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite products.

+ Ability to read and interpret documents in English such as safety rules, data, operating and maintenance instructions, one-line diagrams, ladder logic, and procedure manuals.

+ Must be able to speak English plainly, write work orders and understand oral communications.

+ Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

+ Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.

+ Experience with analytical troubleshooting techniques and root cause failure analysis.

+ While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, climb talk, hear and use hands.
