Overview:
The Department of Pediatrics at the University of Alabama at Birmingham Heersink School of Medicine is seeking an innovative leader to serve as the Director of the Division of Allergy and Immunology. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the comprehensive management of the Division's activities and advancing UAB's and Children's of Alabama's excellence in clinical care, research, advocacy, and education.
Responsibilities:
* Provide comprehensive leadership and management of the Division's activities
* Advance UAB's and Children's of Alabama's excellence in clinical care, research, advocacy, and education
* Incorporate clinical, interdisciplinary teaching, community activities, and may include research
* Lead a team of faculty members, researchers, and staff
* Develop and implement strategies to promote the Division's growth and success
Qualifications:
* MD or DO degree
* Board certification in a relevant discipline
* Leadership experience in an academic medicine setting
* MD/PhD candidates are encouraged to apply
