Overview:
Grand Valley State University (GVSU) in Grand Rapids, Michigan is seeking a full-time tenure-track Assistant Professor of Audiology to support the Doctor of Audiology (Au.D.) program in the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders. This is an exciting opportunity for innovative and motivated individuals who are dedicated to excellence in teaching, research, and committed to evidence-based practice.
Responsibilities:
* Teach in the Doctor of Audiology program and undergraduate pre-professional academic program. * Provide clinical supervision in on-campus clinic. * Develop a scholarly agenda that is consistent with unit and college expectations. * Advise/mentor students. * Provide service to the department, college, university, community, and the profession.
Qualifications:
* Doctoral degree (Ph.D.) in audiology or a Doctor of Audiology (Au.D); all-but-dissertation (ABD) candidates will be considered. * Area of expertise is flexible; ASHA certification in Audiology is preferred. * Evidence of effective teaching. * Excellent oral and written communication skills. * Demonstrated record and/or potential for active scholarship. * Commitment to inclusion, equity, and diversity.
