Overview:
The Adjunct Faculty - IVG Program is a part-time faculty position that plays a crucial role in establishing a healthy classroom environment that fosters student education and advancement. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching and assessing students in various areas of instruction, including Automotive Technology, English, Mathematics, Speech/Communications, and Welding.
Responsibilities:
* Establish a healthy classroom environment that is conducive to the advancement of student education
* Maintain accurate students' records
* Assess students' progress and development
* Promote cultural understandings and assist in maintaining a welcoming atmosphere on campus
* Assist with recruitment and retention
* Maintain a professional rapport with students and colleagues
Qualifications:
Applicants must meet minimum experience and education requirements specified by Iowa Valley Community College District. Approval to teach in the assigned area as defined by Department of Education and the Higher Learning Commission (HLC) is also required. Specifically, applicants must have:
* A Master's degree
* 12 graduate credits in the academic discipline for arts and sciences courses
* 6000 or more hours of recent, practical work experience for vocational-technical education fields without teacher education/experience and degrees
* Prior experience demonstrating expertise in the field to be taught and/or prior teaching experience, preferably at the post-secondary level
* Good human relations and communications skills

others. Those who wish to enroll in a degree program will need to complete the
online admissions application and send high school transcripts or a copy
