Lecturer Pool in Department of Computer Science (Academic Year 25/26)

Overview:
The Department of Computer Science at Cal Poly Humboldt is seeking a pool of temporary lecturers to teach a variety of computer science courses during the 2024-25 academic year. We offer a comprehensive curriculum, emphasizing computational thinking, active learning, and hands-on experience. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a diverse student body and contribute to the success of our students.
Responsibilities:

* Teach a range of computer science courses, including Data Structures, Algorithms, Python Programming, and more

* Develop and deliver engaging course materials and assessments

* Collaborate with colleagues to ensure curriculum alignment and student success

* Participate in departmental activities and events

Qualifications:

* B.A./B.S. or equivalent and 3 years of related experience required

* Successful applicants will have demonstrated successful teaching experience and/or recent professional training experience

* Preference given to applicants with a completed M.A./M.S. in a related discipline and two years of successful college teaching in a related field
