Overview:
Western Michigan University's College of Education and Human Development is seeking an Assistant Professor of Organizational Change Leadership Tenure Track to join the Department of Educational Leadership, Research, and Technology. The successful candidate will serve in the Organizational Change Leadership (OCL) unit, teaching, advising, and conducting research in the area of organizational development and change.
Responsibilities:
* Serve as instructor of record for organizational change leadership courses beginning late August 2026
* Maintain an active research agenda in the field of organizational development and change
* Advise undergraduate minor, certificate, master's, and doctoral students in the organizational change leadership unit
* Participate in recruiting initiatives of future undergraduate, certificate, master's and doctoral students
* Support curricular improvement efforts and development of new curricula within the unit as needed
* Engage in service to the unit, department, college, and university, as well as to the profession of organizational development and change more broadly
* Provide appropriate service to unit, department, college, university, and/or community
Qualifications:
* Earned doctorate in Organizational Change Leadership, Organizational Development, Human and Organizational Studies, Management and Organizational Studies, Organizational Behavior, or Organizational Studies from an accredited institution
* Evidence of successfully teaching undergraduate and graduate level courses (both face-to-face and online) in the field of organizational development and change
* Evidence of successfully teaching adult learners and diverse populations
* Evidence of active scholarship in organizational change/organizational studies as demonstrated by publications in books, academic journals, and/or presentations at national and/or international conferences
* Record of professional involvement in the field of organizational development and change (e.g., academic conferences and professional associations)
* Experience advising graduate students
* Expertise as committee member on doctoral dissertations
* Comprehensive understanding of U.S.-based organizations across all sectors-including military, governmental, for-profit, nonprofit-to effectively support talent identification and recruitment strategies
