Overview:
Bilfinger Salamis, Inc. is seeking an Industrial Scaffold Assistant to join our team in Lafayette, Indiana. As an Industrial Scaffold Assistant, you will provide support services to our clients in the energy, petrochemical, industrial, and utilities sector.
Responsibilities:
* Assist in the assembly, disassembly, and maintenance of scaffolding systems
* Lift and transport materials and equipment weighing up to 75 pounds
* Climb and maintain balance on ladders and scaffolding at various heights
* Perform physical demands such as stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling
* Follow verbal and written instructions, take direction, and work well with others
Qualifications:
* No previous experience required, but considerable strength and endurance are necessary
* Ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 75 pounds
* Ability to climb and maintain balance on ladders and scaffolding
* Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl
* Ability to use arms and hands to signal, grab, hold, turn, push, and pull objects
* Must have own set of tools
