Overview:


The Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction is seeking dedicated students to fill the position of a temporary Behavioral Health College Intern. This is an unclassified position with a range of 10-40 hours per week, depending on the length of employment and number of hours worked.
Responsibilities:

* Assist in screening offenders for mental health symptoms

* Develop treatment plans and participate in multi-disciplinary teams

* Provide evidence-based group therapy

* Meet with incarcerated individuals and document encounters using a SOAP note format

* Assist in re-entry planning through dialogue, referrals, and skill-building practices

* Conduct psychological testing

Qualifications:

* Must be accepted to a college or university and in good standing in one of the following fields: Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or related field

* Must produce official documentation from the college/university if selected

* Experience working with Microsoft Office
