Overview:
The Social and Human Services Department at Edmonds College is accepting applications for part-time teaching positions on an ongoing basis. We are seeking instructors to teach courses focused on addiction studies, case management, law and ethics, counseling skills and theory, human development, crisis intervention, mental illness, group work, senior services, and behavioral health.
Responsibilities:

* Teach courses in the Social and Human Services Department, including addiction studies, case management, law and ethics, counseling skills and theory, human development, crisis intervention, mental illness, group work, senior services, and behavioral health

* Develop and implement course materials and assessments

* Maintain accurate records and submit grades in a timely manner

* Participate in departmental meetings and activities

* May be required to work evening, weekend, or online classes

Qualifications:

* Master's degree in social work, human services, counseling, mental health, alcohol and chemical dependency counseling, or a closely related field, or equivalent experience

* One year of recent work experience in a behavioral health or chemical dependency counseling environment

* Excellent speaking, writing, listening, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills

* Good technology skills and familiarity with the Internet and communicating online

* Desired qualifications include teaching experience at a community college or university, ability to work effectively with diverse populations, and experience working with Canvas or other online learning management systems
