Programmer Analyst

Overview:
Missouri Valley College is seeking a creative Programmer Analyst to design, develop, code, test, and maintain a variety of dashboards and reports within Argos and Microsoft Power BI, accessing SQL databases within our Ellucian Colleague Student Information System (SIS). As a key member of our IT team, you will work closely with end-users and other team members to identify business needs and translate them into technical solutions.
Responsibilities:

* Collaborate with department heads, managers, and other stakeholders to understand tasks that must be accomplished by software or reports requested

* Ensure accuracy of data

* Serve as point of contact for Ellucian Colleague administration, including Self-Service, and administrator for the D2/ILP integration with Brightspace

* Co-manage College's GitHub repository

* Create SQL queries to provide ad-hoc reports, analysis, and datasets based on business needs

* Develop and design standard reports, custom reports, and dashboards using SQL data query and reporting tools

* Lead data discovery, data verification, and mapping

* Design or assist with design of graphical user interface (GUI) as needed

* Manage data imports into Colleague

* Collaborate with systems analysts to obtain and analyze project specifications and flow charts

* Develop flow charts of data input and potential problems that could emerge in a given environment; create contingencies within the program for these possibilities

* Test programs; coordinate and observe beta testing of new or updated programs

* Debug or correct any issues discovered during beta testing

* Issue stable release

* Serve as point of contact to submit Colleague-related support tickets with Ellucian

* Perform Colleague software updates, including SA Valet and related applications

* Upload applications from EMP into Colleague utilizing an internal import process

* Analyze, review, and revise programs as needed to increase operating efficiency or adapt programs to new requirements

* Develop and maintain documentation of program development and revisions

* Provide training and support to end users

* Perform other related duties as assigned

Qualifications:

* 1+ years of Information Technology or related discipline preferred

* Previous experience with Argos and Colleague

* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field

* Must be authorized to work in the United States
