Music Education Instructor

Overview:
The Music Education Instructor position is responsible for teaching music to students in grades K-12 in the Community Unit School District 4 Mendon. The successful candidate will develop and implement a balanced music program, conduct ongoing assessments, and provide individualized instruction to students.
Responsibilities:

* Develop and implement a balanced music program for grades K-12, including band, music, and individual instruction

* Conduct ongoing assessments of student musical learning and progress, modifying instructional methods to fit individual student needs

* Plan, coordinate, and direct students in musical programs and performances outside the classroom

* Select and requisition music supplies and instrumental equipment, maintaining inventory records and ensuring equipment is in good working order

* Participate in pep band performances and marching band, eligible for additional stipends

Qualifications:

* Professional Educator License (PEL) in Illinois for State Certification as a Music Teacher

* Desire to make a difference in young lives
