Financial Analyst, Social Services Agency

Overview:


The Alameda County Social Services Agency is seeking a highly skilled Financial Analyst to join its Finance Division. The successful candidate will provide complex financial services, including budget analysis, development, and monitoring, as well as financial forecasting and report preparation. This is a critical role that requires strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Responsibilities:

* Provide financial analysis and planning support to the Social Services Agency

* Develop and maintain financial models, forecasts, and reports

* Conduct budget analysis, development, and monitoring

* Prepare and present financial reports to management and other stakeholders

* Collaborate with other departments to ensure financial compliance and accuracy

* Analyze and interpret financial data to inform business decisions

* Develop and implement financial policies and procedures

* Provide guidance and training to other financial staff

Qualifications:

* EITHER:

+ Three years of full-time experience equivalent to or higher than the class of Financial Services Specialist II in the Alameda County classified service. + Possession of a Bachelor's degree from a four-year accredited college or university with major coursework in business or public administration, economics, financial planning, or a field related to the work. * AND

+ Experience: The equivalent of three years of full-time professional-level experience in independently providing complex financial planning or analysis and/or budget development and processing at a level equivalent to or higher than the County class of Financial Services Specialist II.
