Overview:


Georgia Highlands College is seeking a part-time instructor to join its School of STEM and teach Biology courses across multiple instructional sites. As a part-time instructor, you will have the opportunity to impact the lives of thousands of students and their families while working in a fast-paced and challenging environment that encourages employee wellness and overall success.
Responsibilities:

* Manage courses through systematic planning and delivery

* Keep accurate records of students' class performance, attendance, and grades

* Adopt and implement common course objectives; attend part-time faculty orientation prior to the beginning of the semester

* Participate in assessment of student learning outcomes

Qualifications:

* Master's degree with 18 hours of graduate-level Biology courses

* Must be available to teach day, evening, or weekends at any of the Georgia Highlands College instructional sites

One of the most exciting offerings available at GHC is a study abroad program. The study abroad option, which is most common at four-year schools, allows students to travel to such countries as Greece and Italy and receive college credit in the process. GHC even offers extensive scholarship opportunities for study-abroad programs. GHC offers financial aid through federally funded sources like Pell grants and loans. They also offer various scholarships. These include a scholarship for students over age 25, scholarships for nursing students, scholarships for disabled students and academic scholarships. Those seeking admissions to most programs need simply fill out an application and submit transcripts or GED scores. Some programs, like nursing, have additional admissions requirements.
