LMI is seeking an junior systems analyst at our client site at Scott AFB. The goal of this project will be to assist the U.S. Transportation Command and its components (Air Mobility Command (AMC) and Military Surface Deployment and Distribution Command (SDDC)) in its enterprise, business and solution architecture goals. Under the guidance of the assigned government lead, this role will accomplish day-to-day task management from key stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities may include:

* Formulates/defines system scope and objectives.
* Devises or modifies procedures to solve complex problems considering computer equipment capacity and limitations, operating time, and form of desired results.
* Prepares detailed specifications for programs. Assists in the design, development, testing, implementation, and documentation of new software and enhancements of existing applications.
* Works with project managers, developers, and end users to ensure application designs meet business requirements. (e) Formulates/defines specifications for complex operating software programming applications or modifies/maintains complex existing applications using engineering releases and utilities from the manufacturer.
* Designs, codes, tests, debugs, and documents those programs.
* Provides overall operating system, such as sophisticated file maintenance routines, large telecommunications networks, computer accounting, and advanced mathematical/scientific software packages.
* Assists all phases of software systems programming applications.
* Evaluates new and existing software products.

Qualifications

REQUIRED:

* Bachelor's Degree in an IT discipline (preferred).
* 2 years of experience in systems analysis, business or solution architecture, business analysis, business process reengineering and/or process improvement.
* Excellent oral and written communication skills and must be detailed oriented.
* Ability to effectively solve problems.
* A true team player who maintains a positive attitude in a dynamic environment.
* Must be able to effectively and professionally communicate to management, peers and customers as well as demonstrate sound judgment/reasoning skills.
* Expertise with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Power Point, Visio, Sharepoint, etc).
* This position is on-site at Scott AFB.
* Must possess an active Secret Clearance, for which you must be a US Citizen.

PREFERRED:

* Two (2) or more years of experience working with DoD clients.
* Demonstrated experience in mapping applications and business capabilities to describe how systems and networks, interact within the organization.
* Experience building architecture models/artifacts that provide mappings between users, systems, platforms and business functions.
* Experience with BPMN 2.0 is a plus.

PC\Systems Analyst

Responsibilities: Work with internal users within a corporate environment to provide level one and two technical assistance as needed. Provide support to global ASP clients and utilize troubleshooting skills to solve problems as needed.

Primary Duties: 1. Configure, install & maintain all standard PC hardware and software which includes 2. Responsible for all aspects of installation from receiving equipment, installation of software, testing, delivery to end user. 3. Regularly serve as a technical resource for others within the organization. 4. Perform password resets and administer users in an active directory environment. 5. Remotely troubleshoot technical issues over the phone or through email. 6. Assist supervisor to streamline daily support procedures. 7. Assist with the upgrade and maintenance of software as needed. 8. Provide input on planning for future projects. 9. Document changes in procedures and in automation of both daily support and maintenance of systems.10. Assume ownership, as assigned, of the whole or part of ongoing projects.11. Gain experience, understanding, and expertise necessary to complete assigned tasks.12. Demonstrate ability to research and resolve customer issues in a timely and accurate manner with minimal guidance.13. Provide regular status and progress towards milestones with one's supervisor.14.
