The Lead CT Technologist position is responsible for producing computerized tomographic radiographs while providing leadership to staff. In addition to providing basic patient care, maintaining equipment, transporting patients and creating and maintaining documentation, this position serves as a procedure specialist and leads a team of technologists in CT.
This position's work location is on-site only.
Responsibilities
Leadership
* Provide team leadership to staff in the department.
* Act at a resource and first point of escalation resource to address the needs of staff, patients and families.
* Serve as a procedure specialist and subject matter expert on modality and its process and procedures.
* Acts as the day-to-day lead for operations of the department and assures efficient operation of workflow of the department.
* Responsible for maintaining the work schedule, worflow and staff schedules for the department.
* Participates in the hiring process, performance evaluation and handling of issues, and in problem solving for the team.

Patient Care
* Obtains patient history.
* Educates patients/families regarding procedures and/or treatment to be performed as well as risk factors and prevention.
