St. Stephen's and St. Agnes School is seeking an experienced, loving, and creative daily on-call substitute to work with children ages 3 months to 4 years in our Early Learning Center (ELC) and our Early Saints (ES) Program for three-year-olds. The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated capacity to create, manage, and participate in a variety of learning environments and activities that provide opportunities for children to develop to their fullest potential and achieve their learning objectives.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Successfully engage with children and foster physical, emotional, cognitive, and social development using sound professional judgment
  • Provide responsive care to all children indoors and outdoors and adapt daily routines and lesson plans to meet the needs and interests of individual students as well as the whole group
  • Participate in ongoing communication with parents and families
  • Work collaboratively with the other ELC and ES staff
  • Infant and toddler care in the ELC including diaper changing and feeding
  • Strict adherence to all of the school's health, wellness, and safety protocols for adults and for the care of children

Minimum Qualifications:

General Description: This position is responsible for designing, organizing, and tracking expanded learning opportunities at Gulfstream Academy of Hallandale Beach K-8, a Community Partnership School™. Expanded learning opportunities will engage primary and secondary students in academic, social emotional, and extracurricular activities on campus before, during (outside of designated core academic classroom learning), and after school.
Primary Job Responsibilities:

* Coordinate and oversee the collaborative process in the Gulfstream Community Partnership School related to expanded learning and enrichment programs.
* Manage and expand on-site tutoring services in partnership with Broward County Public Schools' current programming.
* Increase on site extracurricular programs and mentor services with attention to recruit, train, and coordinate volunteers to lead expanded learning options.
* Expand athletic opportunities for students and families at Gulfstream Academy K-8 through partnership with YMCA of South Florida, Police Athletic League of Hallandale Beach, and Broward County Public Schools.
* Engage partnership with Broward College to create internship opportunities that meet the expanded learning priorities of the community .

Five years of relevant experience may be supplemented for an accredited degree.
