This position will provide a wide-range of support function to legal assistants and attorneys.

*JOB REQUIRMENTS*

· Must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 or related viruses

· Approximately one year on the job experience necessary in order to perform file clerk duties in a professional setting

*SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE*

· Knowledge of Microsoft Office software including Word, Excel and PowerPoint

· Strong organization

· Filing Proficiency

· Ability to type at a level of 50+ WPM

· Excellent communication and presentation skills

*DUTIES AND REPONSIBILITIES*

· Maintain hard/electronic files (some attorneys are paperless)

· Assist assigned legal assistants and attorneys with copy jobs, faxing, scanning, expense reports and Certified mail (legal assistant will monitor)

· Assist assigned legal assistants with prebills and entering time for attorneys

· Responsible for scanning green cards and fax confirmations

· Closing Files - scanning everything in NetDocs and routing to determined destination

· Maintain vendor Invoices (This may not be necessary for every assistant.)

· Making sure all attorney notes & research is scanned in and saved in NetDocs

· Should always check with their assistants multiple times throughout the day

· Check email throughout the day for emails from legal assistants or attorneys

· Process and scan files to be entered into NetDocs and purge old files

· Handle additional duties/projects as needed by the firm

*PHYSICAL DEMANDS (Walking, lifting, equipment, operation, etc.)*

Ability to retrieve and distribute files, written documents or file boxes weighing up to 12 pounds

Ability to replace objects from shelves of up to 8 feet high

Ability to sit/stand long for long periods of time
