Position Overview:
The primary responsibility of the Life Enrichment Coordinator is to assist the Life Enrichment Director/Manager with developing, implementing, and coordinating a resident-centered activity program designed to meet the mental, physical, and psychosocial need of the residents. The Life Enrichment Coordinator is responsible for assisting with the execution of activities within the community. Additionally, the Life Enrichment Coordinator must be able to facilitate a variety of activities in a professional and friendly manner that enhances the lifestyle of residents and community.
Essential Job Functions:
Perform administrative duties
Assist with completion of required paperwork for each resident, maintaining records according to state and federal regulations
Complete Minimum Data Sets (MDS) and Care Area Assessments (CAA) as directed
Assist with development and maintenance of care plans for assigned residents
Read and follow Care Plan used in providing daily activities for residents
Prepare and maintain a daily and monthly evaluation of residents' participation in activities
Ensure lifestyle assessments are completed
Maintain supplies for individual and group activities
Participate in the Resident Council meeting as required
Develop, implement and coordinate resident-centered activity Program
Assist with scheduling movies, planning parties, arranging outings, and providing games/activities for residents, families and staff
Supervise activities as needed
Maintain and post a monthly Activity Calendar
Coordinate volunteer program
Assist with orienting, training, supporting, and supervising volunteers
Assist with planning, special events designed to recognize volunteers for their service
Coordinate Social Services
Provide social support for residents and helps with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs)
Maintain regular contact with residents, visiting when necessary, to ensure their social, emotional, and spiritual needs are being met
Answer questions and offer information to meet residents' needs
Assist residents with crafts or other projects as needed
Recognize residents' birthday and other special events

Promote facility and assist with admissions, dismissals and transfers
Distribute requested facility information such as brochures and information packets and conduct tours with interested persons
Assist residents with move-in, move-out, or transfer process, notify appropriate parties, distribute keys, and assist residents with change of address forms

Assist Activities Director/Manager with managing department
Contribute to the planning and decision-making in the department
Stay informed of federal, state and professional regulations or standards, and assist with development of department policies and procedures as needed
Assist with maintenance and updates to the Quality Assurance program for the department
Recommend equipment and supplies to LE Director when needed, monitor spending, and adhere to department budget
Qualifications
Qualifications and Experience:
Must be eighteen [18] years of age
Prefer Social Service Designee certificate or be willing to obtain within 6-months of hire date
Must be willing to obtain Certified Nurse Aide certificate within 12-months of hire date
Must be able to work morning, afternoon and evening hours as well as weekends and holidays
Must be able to work with residents that have various levels of physical and cognitive functioning demonstrating patience and grace whenever necessary
Physical Requirements:
