KQT launched in 1994 in Media, Pennsylvania with 3 ambulances and 2 wheelchair vans, and has since grown to over 200 vehicles and 9 operational bases.
LifeStar Response of Maryland was established in 1998 through the consolidation of Advanced Care Ambulance, Huntemann Ambulance and Maryland Ambulance services.
In the mid-Atlantic region, the company’s growth started in 2001 when they became the primary provider of medical transportation for John Hopkins Health Systems.
2016 was a year of dramatic change at KQT as new senior leadership joined the company and implemented a quantitative approach to improving all aspects of the organization.
Finally in 2021 LifeStar Response has become a member of the KQT Health family and now is a wholly owned subsidiary of Keystone Quality Transport.
