A day in the life: What you do
Daily setup, CIP and SIP of a canning line
Daily operation of canning line and supporting equipment (automated depalletizer, laser ink date coder, in-line labeler, conveyors, and can rinse)
Ensure all beverage is in the proper condition (temperature, carbonation level, etc.) prior to canning
Ensure all canning activity is done according to SOPs regarding yield, can fill-height, dissolved oxygen levels, seaming standards, and material loss
Maintain proper canning records and logs
Ensure regular maintenance of canning equipment
Maintain cleanliness of your equipment and surroundings in line with company established GMPs.
Qualifications: What you know
High School Diploma or equivalent
Technical/professional training in mechanical and/or electrical field a plus
Experience working in a production/packaging brewery or manufacturing environment
Mechanically inclined with the ability to troubleshoot and problem solve quickly
Ability to lift 55lbs and move 165lbs occasionally

Duties/Responsibilities:
Maintaining plant production and observation of the SSI and Barclay are operating properly without jamming
Sweeping, shoveling and general cleaning up of product from ground
Assists in proper loading of tires into the equipment in a timely manner to avoid plant downtime or back up
Heavy Machinery Operator
Utilizes metrics and reports to identify trends, make course corrections to maximize production efficiency and profitability of the business unit.
Identify and lead continuous improvement initiatives at the division level.
Proactively communicates with leadership about site performance, daily planning and situations that may impact the achievement of budget or other operational priorities.
Fosters an environment of Safety, Quality, Continuous Improvement and Best Management Practices.
Ensures that standardized work practices are exercised daily including ยท Job safety analyses,
Lock Out - Tag Out,
Daily housekeeping checklists,
Product quality checks to meet/exceed customer specifications,
Fire / Safety
Preventative maintenance work orders are 100% complete/on-time.
Ensure that maintenance work orders are generated timely for needed equipment and building repairs.
Experience with heavy equipment preferred (Front end loader and skid steer specifically).
