Roles & Responsibilities
Maintain good housekeeping practices on plant and equipment using water hoses and shovels.
General labor duties such as shoveling and sweeping.
Troubleshoot and resolve maintenance issues to ensure minimum cost and prevent operational delays.
Repair crusher, i.e. liner changes, oil systems, and operations, monitor and change worn parts.
Operating skid steers.
Performing basic plant preventative maintenance.
Cross train with other positions to maximize abilities within

Valid drivers license is required.
MSHA certification preferred.

ABOUT THE JOB:
The Perfect Laborer will assist with manufacturing of concrete products.
Essential Functions & Major Responsibilities
* Perform tasks involving strenuous manual labor in manufacturing a variety of concrete product
* Support crew during concrete pours
* Help maintain a clean jobsite by picking up and storing tools and equipment
* Perform materials handling and storage
* Follow all safety rules and report any unsafe conditions to the Leads or supervisors
* Read and follow work instructions, blueprints and drawings
* Regular, reliable and predictable attendance is necessary in order to perform the essential functions of this position
Education/Experience
* Past experience working with hand tools, saws, air tools, grinders is preferred, not required

Inspects and twists stripped wires together by hand to join designated colored wires.
Secures core/coils, using metal strapping, metal cutters, and band clippers.
Assembles and attaches hardware, such as caps, clamps, knobs, and switches, to assemblies.
Performs intermediate assembly tasks, such as potting, encapsulating, sanding, cleaning, epoxy bonding, curing, stamping, etching, and color-coding parts and assemblies.

Participates in tank maintenance activities.
Rejects any loads that do not meet standard processing requirements.
Monitors pH and solution levels in all tanks that require it. Monitor tanks and make adds as required by daily checklists and procedures. Advise lab if non-conforming tanks are found. Change tank filters when required.
Displays good communication and ability to interact effectively with others.
Responds to alarms and follows applicable protocol. Monitor proper functioning of waste treatment system if applicable.
Understands how to operate standard equipment such as rectifiers, pumps, and cranes. Understands setup calibrations and basic trouble shooting for equipment including data tracks and controllers.

High school diploma or equivalent.
2+ years of experience in an industrial or construction environment, with some exposure to specialized craft work.
Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and other industrial equipment.
Ability to read and interpret basic blueprints or project plans.
Knowledge of basic industrial safety practices and ability to follow safety guidelines.
Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with a team.
Good physical endurance and the ability to perform manual labor tasks.
Must be able to lift heavy materials, work in confined spaces, and handle a variety of work environments.
Preferred Skills:
Experience in a specialized craft area (e.g., refractory, fabrication, scaffolding).
OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification.
Basic first aid or CPR certification.
Ability to work independently or with minimal supervision when required.
Physical Requirements
Work is primarily performed on construction job sites, exposed to outdoor elements and varying weather conditions.
Must be able to work in confined spaces or elevated areas depending on the project.
Physical labor may be required, including the ability to lift and move equipment or materials.
Personal protective equipment (PPE) must be worn at all times for safety.
Flexibility to work extended hours or on weekends as project schedules require.
The employee must be able to perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable workplace accommodation.
The individual must also be able to wear and properly utilize appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) to work or visit within areas where it is required. This includes hard hat, safety glasses/spoggles, respirators, ear plugs, steel toed shoes, or other protective equipment as required by the work performed and location the work is being done.
