Your Role
The Warehouse Operator 1 at MilliporeSigma's Allentown, PA site will support the shipment of customer orders following procedures and guidelines for selecting, checking, packing and unpacking inbound and outbound shipments. Responsibilities include the following:
* Check chemicals, catalog number, lot number, special request information, unit size, and weights against order documentation found in packing instructions

Work Environment
This job operates in a warehouse environment. This role routinely uses standard warehouse equipment such as manually operated equipment, rolling ladders, and other material handling tools. Use of office equipment such as computers, phones, and photocopiers.

Ability to bend, stoop, lift up to 65 lbs., climb ladders, and work on material handling equipment such as forklifts and other moving apparatus.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, shifts time are based on business needs, specific to each branch location.

Ability to demonstrate basic math knowledge and aptitude to accurately pick customer orders.

Allied Wire & Cable (AWC), a GCG Company, is currently seeking a Warehouse Big Cuts Associate to join our growing 1st shift team! In this role, you will be responsible for operating spooling & rim drive machines, inventory control, and assisting with general warehouse duties.

What You'll Do
* Daily set-up and operation of spooling & rim drive machine, ensuring machines run smoothly
* Run test spool daily to ensure accurate calibration of footage counter
* Operate hand-held scan gun to scan spools to appropriate location
* Monitor tool kit and ensure all pieces are present and accounted for
* Sweep floors, wipe scrap off machinery, throw trash away, clear scrap wire, etc
* Assist with additional duties as needed
What You'll Bring

* Must be able to regularly stand, walk, bend and lift 50lbs
* Reliable transportation is required as the site is not accessible by public transit
