The Machine Repair person will have the following responsibilities and requirements:
- Must be able to troubleshoot and repair hydraulic, pneumatic, and general machinery.
- Capable of rebuilding and or repairing machines or assemblies to original operating conditions.
- Familiar with cold heading, hot forging and roll thread equipment a plus
- Responsible for PM work and/or documentation of product equipment or processes.
- Must be able to fabricate, weld, or machine parts as required.
- Must be able to communicate, discuss and/or review repair problems with Engineering, the Tool Room, Production Team Leads or vendors as needed.
Additional Requirements:
- High school education or equivalent. Additional experience, training or formal education is beneficial.
- Must be self-motivated, safety and quality conscious, and must work efficiently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to read, write, and understand written specifications, procedures and prints.
- Must possess good organizational and communication skills.
- Must possess excellent mechanical aptitude and above average hand dexterity.
- Ability to use various measuring devices (torque wrench, micrometers, calipers, dial indicators etc.)
- Must be able to operate basic maintenance equipment (saw, crane, shear, tow motor, roller, etc.)
- Must be able to work 3rd shift
- Moderate to heavy physical effort required.
- Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds.
- Frequently lift 11- 50 lbs.
- Occasionally lift 51-100 lbs.
- Frequently bends, twists & turns, reach lower than knee, push and pull, squat and kneel.
- Lifts above shoulder occasionally.
- Must be able to operate lift truck - climb on and off truck, steer and use hand operated levers to control.
