Ferry Cap and Set Screw has been providing its customers with the highest quality specialty fasteners for over 100 years.

The Machine Repair person will have the following responsibilities and requirements:
  • Must be able to troubleshoot and repair hydraulic, pneumatic, and general machinery.
  • Capable of rebuilding and or repairing machines or assemblies to original operating conditions.
  • Familiar with cold heading, hot forging and roll thread equipment a plus
  • Responsible for PM work and/or documentation of product equipment or processes.
  • Must be able to fabricate, weld, or machine parts as required.
  • Must be able to communicate, discuss and/or review repair problems with Engineering, the Tool Room, Production Team Leads or vendors as needed.

Additional Requirements:
  • High school education or equivalent. Additional experience, training or formal education is beneficial.
  • Must be self-motivated, safety and quality conscious, and must work efficiently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to read, write, and understand written specifications, procedures and prints.
  • Must possess good organizational and communication skills.
  • Must possess excellent mechanical aptitude and above average hand dexterity.
  • Ability to use various measuring devices (torque wrench, micrometers, calipers, dial indicators etc.)
  • Must be able to operate basic maintenance equipment (saw, crane, shear, tow motor, roller, etc.)
  • Must be able to work 3rd shift
Physical Requirements
  • Moderate to heavy physical effort required.
  • Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds.
  • Frequently lift 11- 50 lbs.
  • Occasionally lift 51-100 lbs.
  • Frequently bends, twists & turns, reach lower than knee, push and pull, squat and kneel.
  • Lifts above shoulder occasionally.
  • Must be able to operate lift truck - climb on and off truck, steer and use hand operated levers to control.
Pay rate: 24.67 - 27.30 /hr. with $1.00 shift premium
