What You'll Do
Operate CNC lathes and vertical machining centers to produce precision components according to specifications.
Set up and perform tooling changes for part change overs, this will include program selection and performing any necessary adjustment to meet part specifications.

Monitor machine operations and make necessary adjustments during production runs to maintain quality and productivity.

The ideal candidate will have experience operating both CNC and manual equipment along with the ability to program, document and inspect the components produced. This role involves maintaining material flow in a fast-paced production environment, ensuring component quality, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement.
**In this role:**
+ Program, set-up and operate CNC lathe / vertical machining centers, manual machines (lathes, drill presses, mills, routers, grinding machines etc.) and measuring equipment to produce quality parts within deadlines
+ Converts designs and drawings into code programming language for CNC equipment. Validates programs to established specifications.
+ Determines dimensions and tolerances of piece to be machined, sequence of operations and machines needed by studying specifications, such as blueprints, sketches, damaged parts or descriptions of parts.
+ Inspects parts, tooling, and material to specifications.
+ Maintains area, equipment, and tooling in safe, clean and satisfactory operating condition.
+ Monitors work to ensure that machine is functioning properly.
+ Works from draft drawings and written instructions to create replacement and new parts as well as for tooling or prototype equipment.
+ Identify production standards for set-up and machine times
**On your first day, we'll expect that you'll have:**
+ Minimum of 3 years machining experience including ability to set-up / operate preferred. Strong knowledge of machining, machining practices, tooling, drafting, CNC machines, controls, programming, measuring equipment and techniques.
+ Ability to program CNC lathes and VMC machines
+ Ability to troubleshoot CNC operating/programming issues.
+ Demonstrated verbal and written communication as well as mid-level math skills.
+ Ability to work within a team and as an individual contributor in a fast-paced, changing environment.
+ Strong verbal and written communications with ability to effectively communicate at multiple levels in the organization.
+ Multitasks, prioritizes and meets deadlines in timely manner.
+ Strong organizational and follow-up skills, as well as attention to detail.
+ AA degree in Machining / Mechanical Technology, equivalent trade school / military training, or comparable related experience preferred.
