Milacron is looking for a CNC Milling Machine Operator to join our team in Mt. Orab, OH. As a Mill Operator, you will be responsible for the set-up and operation of machinery to produce a large assortment of metal parts or finishes often of a complex nature. In this role, you will apply knowledge of mechanics, shop mathematics, and machining procedures to produce quality parts for our plastics processing machinery out of raw material.
Hours: 3p-11p. Could be overtime required. Must train 7a-3p at least 90 days.
Work You'll Do:
Verify correct product using job traveler.
Set-up and operate a Milling machine to blueprint specifications.
Monitor machine performance and perform preventative maintenance to assure continuity of production.
Monitor and ensure all fluid levels are maintained on all equipment (coolant, hydraulic flids, ETC.).
Monitor inventory levels and report low levels and discrepancies to supervisor.
Must use precision measuring tools and job specific hand tools.
Read part drawing with sectional views.
Lift, position, and transport work piece with a hoist.
Must accurately record labor hours into E1 system.
Maintain plant standards in areas of safety, quality, delivery, cost, 5S, housekeeping, teamwork, and attendance.
Demonstrate personal leadership; actively participate in or lead problem solving and continuous improvement efforts.
Demonstrate flexibility when confronted with high stress or emergency situations, priority changes, or new assignments.
Recommend improvements for area product and processes.
Interact professionally when interacting with customers and employees.
Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Reporting to the Group Lead, this role will be a part of the Barrel Group manufacturing/production team.

Must be able to perform welding duties all mine equipment including coal haulers and track type earthmovers. This person must be able to work at heights (i.e. elevated boom point and tri-structure of draglines). Mechanical experience will include working on heavy, open and enclosed gear systems for draglines (i.e. repair and overhaul). Machinist/Millwright experience and the ability to troubleshoot lubrication systems would be desirable assets. Licensed mobile crane experience is desirable. This position requires working multiple shifts and call-out on a 24-hour basis. Work is completed in varying extremes of environmental conditions with exposure to dust, noise, and adverse weather.

Key Responsibilities
Operate 5-axis CNC routers in a production environment

Monitor machining operations to ensure parts meet quality and dimensional requirements

DESCRIPTION OF POSITION DUTIES:
Welder/Mechanic/Machinist primary duty is maintaining Marion walking draglines and will assist in mobile equipment, and coal processing facilities repair. Must be able to perform welding duties all mine equipment including coal haulers and track type earthmovers. This person must be able to work at heights (i.e. elevated boom point and tri-structure of draglines). Mechanical experience will include working on heavy, open and enclosed gear systems for draglines (i.e. repair and overhaul). Machinist/Millwright experience and the ability to troubleshoot lubrication systems would be desirable assets. Licensed mobile crane experience is desirable. This position requires working multiple shifts and call-out on a 24-hour basis. Work is completed in varying extremes of environmental conditions with exposure to dust, noise, and adverse weather.

Work you'll do:
Set up and operate the grinding machine according to specifications of the project.
Read and interpret blueprints or design schematics to understand the project requirements.
Select and install the appropriate tools and equipment needed for the grinding process.
Adjust machine settings to control speed, material feed, and path of the cut.
Monitoring the machine while it's running to ensure its functioning properly and to prevent errors or malfunctions.
